| Are any of your Yorkies motherly & protective with their toys? I think it's adorable. Every now and again, Tashi comes across a toy that gets extra special treatment. She carries it around with her when she'll be in another room for very long, she sleeps with it, and she gets miffed if I don't treat it respectfully. Right now, that's her dino. Today, I needed to move her dog bed out of the middle of the floor, so I tossed her dino onto my bed. She jumped up on my bed, grabbed it, licked it for a minute, and then sat with her paw over it glaring at me. She once had a little elephant and giraffe that came same in the same pack. She designated one of them as a "toss/fetch/play" toy, and the other she babied. If I threw the wrong one, she would go get it, take it to the other side of the room/yard, and sit down with it and give me the cold shoulder for a while. I find it really interesting, and would love to hear if anyone else's doggies do anything similar. I'm attaching a picture of Tashi with her dino. Does anyone have any pictures of their babies with their favorite toys? I meant to change the title to "Do any of your dogs play favorites with their dog toys," because I didn't want to give the impression that she's protective in a negative way, but it seems it can't be changed. | My little Hailee adored babies and wanted to badly to be a momma...she used to love to get up in my bed, and look into the whelping crate at the foot of my bed, where the babies and their momma is....she would not bark or anything she just looked and watched and she would look over her shoulder at me, begging me to let her help feed and play with the babies....then she would gather 3 of her littlest stuffed toys together and put them in her bed or up in my bed and snuggle all up around them like she was momma with babies......soooooo sweet.....sooooooooo missed, my precious little girly-girl, Hailee.......... |
