Fun Homemade Toy.........

My mom uses empty water bottles with large treats inside as toys. I tried this with Brutus, but he didn't really seem to like the noise the bottle makes.

Good idea! I saw some at petsmart for like $7, and I was like are these people CRAZY! I could make this! Guess now Im gonna have to I am excited to see the look on her face when it pops... Bailey will either bark, run and hide, or look at me like, "r u trying to kill me?"

i don't know why i didn't think of this! keira loves water bottles! we buy the aquafina bottles with less plastic and they make A LOT of noise! she tries to take them from us when we are still drinking! haha but i saw the ones at petsmart as well and thought wow, that's a good idea.. but i'm not paying that much for a water bottle & they already have socks they play with so i can just stick a water bottle in there for her!! thank you so much!!!!

Watch water bottles. My gal got a piece of one down her throat and hacked all night. Scared me and figured we would be at the vet by morning. Got lucky it went on down.

i made one yesterday.. i put a squeaker in the toe and tied a knot then put a water bottle in and tied another knot and both dogs love it!!! keira already broke the squeaker though! lol but lizzy(my mom's biewer) is afraid of water bottles and i guess where the sock is on it, she isn't scared at all and actually took it away from keira!

Warning....Gracie was playing with it, walked away for a moment. When she started to walk back up to it the bottle made a pop sound and totally startled her. I got that look.....Mommy, what was that!!!!!

I did this for my CaLi, and she goes nuts on this toy. She wrestles it and flips it around, jumps on it and likes the crunchie sound!! I tied knots at each end of a long sock and its floppy on ends...wow!! Who needs expensive toys when this thing wears her out LOVE IT 100%

Oh!! PS: I also did one with a little christmas bell in the bottle inside the sock....she loves that too

The water bottles ARE great fun

I'd just like to caution everyone to be very careful; once they've gotten through the sock, take it from them since we don't want the little stinkers eating the bottle (Tuffy was caught very quietly in a corner chewing one to shreds!)

Oh my!! well, CaLi is still a little baby...she's good at shredding paper(bad girl), graduated to making a bone toy into goo.
I used a sock that is hard to even cut with good scissors.
However, She's a houdini so I wouldn't put anything past her. LOL
I keep all of her toys in a diaper bag and rotate them and always take inventory.
I had to get the "NEAT & DRY" puppy pad snaptray so that she wouldnt shred them..thanks for the reminder to keep our furr-babies safe !!
