| My Pup Made UP Her Own Game! Santa brought Daisy a Himalayan Dog Chew (Santa Ryan) for Christmas. She didn't know quite what to do with it at first. It got carried around the house and buried several times and dug up again. Then she started her own game. She would bury it in her bed, go growl at her daddy, and take him to the spot she had hidden it. She kept doing this over and over, picking a new hiding place each time. She had so many hiding places around the house that we were not sure where it was, only to have her show us. Then she would do the same thing with me. I was just amazed, of course, at how cleaver my pup was! She has done it every day since Christmas and never tires of the sport. I call it "Reverse Hide and Seek" because we usually hide something (like Easter eggs) and have her look for them. Does anyone else have a dog that does this? You just never know what these Yorkies are going to do next!

| ha ha. Maggie buries her chews from Santa Ryan too. lol I posted a video of it. I told my hubby that I think she spends more time burying it than chewing it! She loves her bully sticks but for some reason will only bury the chews. It is too funny, she will spend so much time burying it, go away then go right back dig it up and bury it again and keep doing this.

It seems like alot of the dog like to carry the chew around and hide it..it must be the smell? Chewing it or hiding it at least she's keeping herself busy

| Hiya, my little Frisco, we play ball a lot, and I hide it a lot, or put it in challenging places. On New Year's eve morning I put the ball into a small cardboard flip/tuck top box, on top of the heater vent (ooOOooo scaAArrYY), and, he couldn't get it out all day. It really pissed him off. BUT, later in the evening, I was occupied, when I heard a distinctive PLUNK on the floor beside me, and looked down to see Mr. Frisco grinning from ear to ear, and assuming 'go on, throw it' position. So I pranced around him for awhile with glee and all that. At night we were on the front porch observing the AWESOME moon in the mist, and tossing the ball a little ways, and talking about cars and stuff. I got cold and went in to build a fire. Frisco laid down beside me, but, after a while, he got up and started messing with this chunk of pizza crust. I guess he was grasping the concept of hiding it. In the bed, (try to bury it), under the blanky, (that works good), behind the table, (ok),...INTO THE SMALL CARDBOARD FLIP/TUCK TOP BOX. Wow. Believe it. I couldn't. I helped him tuck it shut. what a sweeeeeeeeeeeetieeeeeeeeeee |

| My Yorkie, almost 2, likes to hide his tennis ball and then barks and whines like crazy until we come and look for it. He has been doing this for ages. |

| I can't tell if this is a game. I mentioned Frisco hiding the pizza crust, but the first time he picked it up, he walked down the hall and he cried a small cry, before all the hiding got started. Just now I gave him a Milk Bone. He sat in the room looking at me with it, I told him it was his cookie, he walked down the hall, came around the corner, cried again same like with the pizza crust, then went and hid it in his bed. It's like a soft quiet sad little dog whimper cry, just one. I don't know what it means. |
