| Toy Issue I have a 1 yr old Yorkie and a 2 yr old Siberian Husky. My problem is the toys we get for Kelsi (our Yorkie) Keiko (husky) shreds or destroys! The Only thing that has lasted are the rope toys. And we were buying rawhide, but I have recently read some pretty not good things about that, so now what... My Husky gets bored easily and so does Kelsi. Need some suggestions for a hearty toy for both that my Husky cant throw though the TV either... LOL

| I have the same problem with our chow/lab mix. He loves to gnaw on Maddy's little toys. I just have to make sure that the toys are off the floor and keep and eye on him! |

| I recommend Kong toys or Bully Sticks. Sophie LOVES all her Kong toys and they've all lasted through her power chewing so far. I've never tried the Bully sticks with her but I've heard great things which is why I recommended them. I'm planning on getting her some soon, though, since a local store started selling the Merrick ones. |

The good thing about bullysticks are you can buy them in different sizes. We buy the biggest ones for our bigger dog(pound rescue) and we buy the little ones for our Bella Mia. I buy them from www.westbrookdog.com they are fairly inexpensive and they do not stink!

| Here is a copy and paste of my answer to the thread titled "Durable Toys? in this same forum: "There are some toys made out of recycled fire hoses. One is Four Paws Products Toy Crunch & Crackle Black Large - 23000 and there are others called Sqwuggies Squeak ‘n Tug Toy -- Amazon.com: Sqwuggies Squeak 'n Tug Dog Toys -... Mega ring -- 7 layer soft toy Tuffy Pet Toy - Tough Dog Toy, Durable, Dog Toy, Indestructible Dog Toy, Soft Squeaky Dog Toy, Combat Tough, Tuffies,Mighty, Silly Squeakers Booda Quirkies bones and balls and the Dogzilla toys -- mine did not liek the rubber taste I guess, as they did not play with them much. Top Paws Goofy ball is a good one too -- it makes a gurgly sound and bounces randomly. I haven't tried this one but it looks like mine might like it because it makes a funny sound. " There are lots of other good suggestions in that thread as well. Might want to give it a read. In fact, I would go to that thread as my links did not make it through the copy and paste.
