| He keeps taking the cat toys? My puppy has a whole bunch of toys, from squeeky plush toys, chew toys, bones, a bunch of toys for himself. He even stole the larger toys that were for my bigger dog (he can barely walk with them in his mouth they're 3x the time of him!) But he keeps stealing the cat's toys. He takes the balls, which I'm not worried about, but he takes the things that I might have catnip in them. He cant chew through and get to it and I've been taking them away from him. But I'm convinced that the cats keep giving them to him. Is it bad for him to be playing with them? I think he likes the little ribbon-like things that come off of the ends of the toys because thats what he is usually dragging it around with. Should I hide them from Louis and keep them away from him? Or is it okay for him to play with them every once in a while? Thanks in advance =) |

YT Addict | I think it would be fine, just watch him like any other toy and if he rips it apart - take it away. As far as I know, catnip isn't harmful for dogs. My 14 y/o golden retriever likes to roll in it and to eat it.

| i always get cat toys for the little pups, not so much with the catnip in it, which won't hurt, but the toys they bat around on springs ad such.

| Bailey never seems interested in toys his size UNLESS it's his baby that he suckles when he puts himself to sleep at night. I always have to buy him toys as if I'm buying for a mastiff...LOL

| LoL.. I guess it's more okay if we'd just have to buy our dogs with cat's toys.. hahaha.. Maybe your dog found your cat's toys more easy to played with... |

| I really believe it is the "mouser" instinct that is bred into them. Our yard has moles and both of my dogs go crazy digging those holes. They also prefer the cat toys. At any given time there is a yorkie and a yorkiepoo roaming my house with a mouse in his mouth. That was strangely seussical! |

| Roxy thinks she is a cat lol! She is the only pup but we have two cats. The cats are outside cats (their perference) but when they come in to eat they check on Roxy like she is their baby. Roxy gets licked and groomed by them lol. Needless to say, Roxy's favorite toy is her little mouse (cat toy) that came home with her from the breeders house. She loves it!! Bless my little cat dog lol.

| Honey Bear LOVES the cat's toys! My cats never really play with the toys, one boy is seven the other is one. I still buy them a new toy all the time just in case they do come around and want to play with toys! Now Honey Bear is home with us.....she has all her puppy toys...kong, teeny tiny ropes, teething toys that look like baby teethers, all the puppy toys I see when out shopping. But what does she like the most? The cat's toys of course! She especially loves this round toy with a mouse inside. When the mouse is batted at, it goes around and around! She loves the little mice and even the scratching post! My one year old boy, Joey, had one toy that he did play with....a little skunk. It was the ONLY toy he paid any attention to. I felt so bad for him because Honey Bear took to that toy as soon as she came home and tore it all up! Thankfully I was able to find another one. But she claimed that one too! I don't know why the dog babies love the cat toys but I think it is adorable and hilarious!

Senior Yorkie Talker | This is too funny! Gwen LOVES those mylar crinkle ball cat toys....she will come running through the house if she hears one crinkle....I've even used one to get her to quit investigating at night to come to bed lol. Mixed reviews on the cat nip in the thread....why can't dogs have it? Can anyone tell me? Or can they have it supervised?

| Ginger loves cat toys too! I think she likes the size of them. My poor Pepper (the cat) hardly has any left. Ginger takes them and hides them in her bed. LOL!

| Laya steals all of kitty's toys and hides them under the bed in a pile. The poor cat just sits and watches her toys slowly disappear. I feel so bad for her. Every time she tries to play with one of her toys Laya runs up and grabs it and runs off. I give them back, but then Laya just takes them again. I try to keep some up high where only the cat can get them, but if she knocks them down it's all over.
