Cheap Toys Hey, now is a great time to head over to PetCo or PetsMart and buy your babies toys! I got a $20 stocking filled with toys for less than $5 on clearance, plus many squeakies and another stocking (that I let him have). I put the big stocking away for next Christmas.

great suggestion............. but if you look at my house, you would say that toys is the LAST thing toby needs more of..... if he put them away in his toy basket i wouldnt mind as much and i would get him more, but as it is i always trip over them.....lol BUT....... i did find a ceramic bowl (blue and white with snowflakes for $2!!! and that was the Big one).... i was carrying it around the store, and then i thought "toby could probably drown in this thing!!!, seriosully it was so big he could have used it as a swimming pool....... and toby likes to STAND in his water dish...... needless to say i put the bowl back on the shelf

water bowls My Gidget plays in the water bowl too. She acts like she's doggy paddling in it. HAHA. She gets the floor all wet and herself. She's so funny. We have a boat and will have to get a life jacket for her. I guess she's practicing so she can enjoy the summer fun with us. lol

All the squeakie toys I own are practically destuffed, but the dogs love them!! I need to sew them back up for Luca Dean. Cheap toys around here: bandannas $.87 with 6 knots tied in them for tug-of-war, old socks -- same thing (just keep the good socks in the hamper and the drawers!). One day, my neighbor brought over about 11 tennis balls that he said were duds (tennis buff). Luca Dean knows how to fetch, but his favorite game is 'steal the ball from Hank.' He gets whatever Hank is trying to play with and runs off with it, then Hank finds one of the myriad of other balls we have and Luca Dean then drops the one he just stole and goes for the new one. You can get old stuffed animals at the thrift store too. And yard sales. We let our dogs bring in sticks and chew on them too. (I vacuum all the time.) Then, of course, there's nylabones which last forever, light up balls, the holy roller (a big ball that you can put smaller balls in that's squishy and indestructable), the I-cube, Saddam the squeaky toy went home with my fiance's lab (we really got a kick out of that one!) And the one suggested on here in another thread: water bottles filled with treats. Goodness gracious. Luca Dean came home to a huge toybox, and he didn't know what to do! Now, the house is always noisy! We have way too many toys that squeak. Luca Dean could wade in our water bowl too -- I've had the same bowl for 7 years. Anyway, he can barely get his head in it! He gets too many baths to thing water is fun though. Thanks for the suggestion Catrienne. Maybe I'll throw out the destuffed squeaky toys and replace them with new -- so Luca Dean feels like he has his own new toys instead of hand-me-downs!

Walmart has a great selection of lambswool squeeky animals for 1.99. Gracie has a moose and cow...just her size. Nylabones of course but her favorite cheap toy is a tied cotton sock she can tug
