| ![]() Gypsy only plays with toys to take them from me to hide them under the bed. She would rather sit in my lap like she is doing right now. While I would love to get another furbaby for her to interact with not sure it would be a good idea for her. When my furgrandbaby (another yorkie who is very active and lives next door) visits she will just sit in my lap and look at him and then us like she wonders what he is. Getting another yorkie is not an option for many people, they are so expensive.

| ![]() Lol! I just posted this thread in another area of the Forum: I bought Sammy the JW Pet Teeney Bopper and he loves it! Link: http://www.petguys.com/-618940431210.html I fill it with his fave treats and it occupies him for hours! And because it's shaped like an egg, when we play fetch with it it bounces in all sorts of directions and is more challenging for him to catch. It's also easy for him to get a grip on so we play tug-of-war with it too! He loves it so much, he sleeps with it in bed at night. ...thought it might help!

| ![]() I am sure you have gotten a wealth of information...but I thought I would post too! ![]() Mojo is very picky about toys....he won't touch or play or even look at anything that is plastic, vinyl or latex. He won't play w/ any sort of ball (tennis ball, squeeky ball, etc) He won't play w/ any toys that are big - he will only play w/ toys that are tiny where he can easily carry them or a bigger toy that has smaller parts where he can bite on to. AND his toys have to make a noise...talking or sqeaker...no rattle, etc. He is very picky about treats and food too....So, I think that some of our little ones are just naturally "picky"...they are all unique and different...that makes them special. AND Mojo loves to cuddle and would rather lay in my lap all day if I let him than play w/ a toy.....and before we got him, his breeder babied him and kept him w/ her a lot because his sister sold and he was the only one she had. So, he came prespoiled. LilyGrace, on the other hand...will pretty much play with anything...she doesn't play w/ the plastic, latex, vinyl...but will play w/ soft balls (not tennis balls), and not ropes. She loves bigger toys too. AND they don't have to make a noise for her to like them. BUT we got her when she was 2 1/2 and I think she was lonely...no one to play w/ busy "parent's who just had a new baby", etc.

| ![]() Reading back....I never have the tv on during the day and all Yorkies are different, LilyGrace will play fetch, but Mojo won't. Etc....they are all just "different" or as I like to say..."unique". One thing I did find that both of them like...is the EverLasting Treat Ball.

| ![]() One more thing ![]() Mojo almost had to have a blockage in his intestines surgically removed...it was horrible (a week of IV fluids, sleepless nights, etc)...and it was caused by the only treat that he had, a greenie!!! The greenie isn't 100% digestible...can you cut off a small piece (a tiny piece like what might get chewed off) and place it in water...it will expand to more than triple its starting size!!! So, we have been greenie and rawhide free for several years now! BUT what you fed is your personal preferance...I think some still give Greenies...but we never will again!
