catch the light. I had to stop and let him drink some water. I'll probably let him play with it in the mornings and evening. Thanks for sharing it.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Bengi is absolutely obsessed with the laser light. I got it a long time ago and he loved it, he runs like crazy and he starts coughing like he's out of breath, kinda scary sometimes, so I had to light it a little and stop so he wouldn't choke. He know exactly were the laser is and he would stand there looking at the spot for me to get it. THe question "WHat do you want?" is associated with it because when I first got it and he wanted to play I used to ask him "what do you want?" and grab the laser. Now I cannot say that question otherwise he jumps on my lap begging for the laser light. Like someone said before, it's just for special occasions now, otherwise he wants to play all day all the time, I'm mean, it's easy for my because I have to just sit there and point the laser while he burns calories for a week, but I don't like him to be obsessed with it. Months can go by without me taking it out but he'll never forget where it is and the "what do you want?" clue. Jeez For Bengi, the laser is a good reward game Last edited by ellie81; 01-17-2008 at 11:58 AM. |

It's a Yorkie Thing Donating Member | Any laser light will work fine. Sometimes you can even buy them at the kwik shop gas station places for only 4 -5 $ each. Walmart also usually has them.

| Does this light move around on its own or do you have to point the laser yourself? My arm would be tired after a couple minutes, that's for sure... |

| We picked up a couple over Christmas for gifts and go the girls one, but they could have cared less about it. They just watched that little light for about 10 seconds then just walked off. I haven't tried it on our new baby girl yet. |

| After this thread, we got one for Coby. He really likes it, but he's too stinkin' smart and always wants to see the pointer because he learned quickly that's where the light is coming from. So I try to hide it and not make eye contact with him when we play. What I really like to do is point it at the glass in the entertainment center. Because the light shines through to the inside AND reflects out so there are TWO EVIL RED LIGHTS TO KILL!! Reggie, our older Shi Tzu just looks at me saying, "Thank you Mom for getting something that will keep him from yanking on my ears and tail for a while!!" I wish I had one that was a "click-on" instead of having to hold the button down. ......... now that I said that, I'm thinking "how lazy does THAT sound??"

| I got one for the girls after reading this thread as well. Belle doesn't care for it, but Ariel goes crazy trying to catch the red light. |

| laser light Dont' want to be negative but I wouldn't use a laser light to play with my dog. Cesear Milan did an entire show with a dog whose family used a laser light. The dog got so addicted to it he became obsessed with it and would not calm down. He was always looking for the light. Go to his dog whisperer web site and watch it if it is there. morrislaz |

| We have a laser light for Buddy and it's hilarious watching him run after it. He tries to climb walls and curtains and after thirty minutes he finally gives up and lays down on the couch. If we didn't have the laser light, we would never get to watch a movie in peace since Buddy always wants to play and cuddle. After the "light" exercise, he is pooped.
