| I'm just a newbie here but just want it to say that this is not a "discussion thread" but a for sale thread I have my opinion as well but this is just not the right place to post , she is not asking for opinions , if we agree or not it shouldn't be discussed here at all. |

| I'm just saying that there is rules to follow here 4. Please do not reply with questions unless you are seriously interested in the Yorkies listed for sale. Replies with positive feedback (such as 'Your Yorkie is adorable!' or 'Good luck finding him a forever home!') is allowed. Feel free to PM breeders directly if you want. Off topic posts will not be tolerated. |

| It must have been much longer ago than 15 years. I have been going to shows for 25 years and have never seen the Yorkie class divided by size. |

If the post warrants postive feedback I will be first to give it. $5000 for an uindersized Yorkie is not a good idea, neither is $3000. As I said before, anyone who wants to buy it go ahead. As it is offered for sale here, I will not hesitate to warn about undersized representatives of the breed and prices such as these. Post a reasonable puppy sale all anyone wishes. Personally I do not sell on this forum, do not sell via the internet. It goes totally against my grain. What someone else does it up to them but the information is available before anyone here parts with all that money. Do you not think that is reasonable or is everyone on this forum supposed to stay absolutely uninformed to whatever someone decides to sell at whatever price and risk? would you rather not have people be aware? Oh yes I forgot ignorance is bliss. Then you can field the calls and emails I get when people have lost a tiny one that died young, didn't know what they had gotten into , etc. etc.

| What does it take to be a YT featured breeder? I thought to be a featured breeder that there were certain requirements...it's disapointing to see a featured breeder purposely breeding for tinies. They are gorgeous babies, that's for sure. But I would never pay that much for a non-show quality puppy. I don't think it's right to charge so much for a dog just because it was bred to stay tiny. For anyone considering a tiny, you should read up on poor little Natalie's story. I think she was the tiniest yorkie on YT..at less than 1.5lbs at 6 months. She passed away on Christmas day...her mom once said that having Natalie was like taking care of a preemie baby 24/7. It's just not right or fair to these dogs to be purposely bred so teeny tiny...even if they are lucky enough to be healthy, there are so many risks for accidents.

I would love to hear from any Show breeders who remember this. This is the first I have ever heard of such. The first Yorkie whelped in the United States was in 1872. American shows began in 1887. The breed classes were divided by weight: under 5 pounds and over 5 pounds. Eventually it was decided to have one weight class for all Yorkies with weight between 3 and 7 pounds. There were just too few entries of the larger sizes to have two different classes. The Yorkshire Terrier Club of America was formed in 1951. Deana Prestigeous

| $50 per year, 1 yr health guarantee, and 1 yr breeding/or 2 litters experience...there is a 'rules' sticky that goes into more detail, but that is the short, sweet version. Last edited by BamaFan121s; 12-28-2007 at 09:01 PM. |

| Very cute pups they have great expression, must come frome some outstanding lines to make up for there lack of size and huge price tag; don't think that you should have to pay more to work so much harder, JMO I love my tiny dog paid about 1/3 of the price and can look up all the past Ch in his lines. I am sure someone would love to give your puppies a great home but I would worry about the only thing that they care about being size, I hope that you screen them well and don't just count the dollars. Good luck.

| Agreeing, disagreeing is a different matter. INformation is the issue here, IMHO. I have the information, others do too. Anyone reading these posts can make up their own mind. Up to them. No one is forcing anyone to believe or disbelieve anything. That's up to you. |
