How is the overall 1st place winner choosen?? I don't mean to be rude but wasn't it a christmas theme contest and out of ALL the cute pictures entered you mean to tell me everyone voted for Tommy.. It's not even a themed picture.. It's just my opinion..

And I'm not just saying this because my Candee wasn't choosen eithier

It stated in the decemeber photo contest rules that this month "holiday-themed" were prefered but not required. I have NOTHING to do with the winners or votes for first place and the runner ups. I only get to help choose the Tinkerbell's Closet staff winner. The winners are all chosen based on votes from the public.

Many of the people who win get friends, family and coworkers, family's co workers, etc etc to all vote for them, they also post on many dog forums, send out mass emails, and post places like MYspace asking for people to vote for them.

I have the polls set up so that no one can vote more than once a day so there is no cheating.

I also put probobly 15 long hours into setting up these contest and unfortunately this may be the last one because of many problems I have had.
This is just supposed to be a fun contest. Not only am I putting a lot of time into it but they cost me more than a hundred dollars in prizes, it cost me to have the voting polls, and website bandwidth cost me money too. I have had people send me nasty emails and comments about the dog's photos, winners, and accusing me of rigging these contest. So I just wanted to throw that out there. I may not be able to do anymore photo contest which makes me sad as it was a really fun thing to do.

That would be a shame if you could not do anymore contests.. You know since you are the one giving the prizes, contest etc... Maybe you should just have one winner and throw the voting poles out and you and your staff vote for ONE winner.. That way you wouldn't have to pay for the voting poles and only have to give one gift away. Hey, it's better then nothing because I know just by you doing the voting contest a couple of people I know bought some stuff from your site, so not only are you getting recognition (not that you need it) but it will be done fairly I think... Because having friends and family vote is not a fair contest to me..

Im totally biased to yorkies of course, so Im not sure having me and my staff chose the winner is very fair either, lol. PLus a lot of people enjoy being able to participate by getting a chance to vote. This is only the 4th or 5th contest I have done and with each one I try to figure out how to make it better and more fair. The whole reason I started to do a TC staff favorite winner was for that very reason that sometimes the people who put the most effort into thier photo dont win and I try to look at those pictures and be fair. If I do another contest I might do only 1 winner based on votes and 3 TC winners. I havent decided but I think I like that idea even better even though Im sure I will still get people leavign me messages accusing me of rigging the contest. Some people are going to be mean no matter what so I guess I really dont want to give in to those people by not doing anymore photo contest. So I will try to figure something out that better pleases everyone Its a constant learning experience for me

Anyhow, I'm VERY glad you are doing this for us crazy dog lovers I guess your like the judge at kids pagents when their kids don't win they attack the judges, I'v seen it happen, go figure .. Maybe the one where people vote, make that your 3rd place winner....

I know what you mean about yorkies I wrote down all the cute ones that I wanted to vote for and they were ALL yorkies, I think Princess Pia, Star and Jack deserved their wins..

Shana keep your head up and dont let the nasty people get to you. The voting is kinda like american idol or dancing with the stars , when the public votes its not always the best one but the one who got the most votes. Look how long the voting kept Jerry Springer on Dancing with the stars, and he definately could NOT dance. LOL. It was a fun contest and I enjoyed seeing all the pictures of the cute little babies. Keep up the good work. We all love you.

i think shana the 1 vote poll winner and 3 tc winner will be great idea too, any way it was fantastic and i dont blame you for anything, i know you will do your best to be fair,but still people find the way for cheating and winning but keep it up the good workit was soo much fun we all enjoyed it alot
