Tansy has never been a digger, thank goodness She's more a Gatherer. After being in the garden, I have to go over her coat as she comes in with all sorts of stuff in it....bits of twig, dried leaves, seed pods, allsorts tangled in her long coat. Think I'll have to make her a gardening overall Several years ago, the people with the house next door bought a Labrador puppy. They had a really neat garden, lawn like a bowling green. It took the puppy about 3 weeks to turn it into somethin resembling the Somme.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Eddie loves to bury stuff in the dirt. We don't have a garden per se, but we have a bunch of 1 foot x 1 foot planters surrounding the back deck. Eddie will burn bones in the planters, flowers or not.

Skippy's not a digger, but my other dog is. I think she's trying to get to China, so I have to stand right next to her when she's out so I don't fall in a mine hole.

None of my three little angels would ever do that to my garden, but my hubby's dog, Tasha (we call her "bayleaf the gardener" after the kid's programme "the herbs" - showing my age there, lol)(39 - not that old) is a Bearded Collie, and continuously heads for Australia, lol What a mess - holes that she sits in and you can't see her, and you would break your legs if you fell into them - they are HUGE ....and you are right, you can never find all the earth to refill them all again and are left with pits all over the place ! When she "sings" to the ice-cream van tune (howling) which is the old Dr Zivago film tune, it's funny if she is in one of her holes as the neighbours come out to listen to her, and they can't see anything, lol. My angels below, and then BAYLEAF Kenny's Beardie ! (WOOLEY MAMMOTH !) Debra x x x x 1. TARA TAMMY CASPER 2. TASHA

As a rule Murfee doesn't dig...but we took him camping at our deer lease and some kind of little creature had him digging up a storm. It was so funny 'cause he would dig so deep that we could only see his little butt over the edge. Ever seen the movie "holes"...well that's what it looked like outside our camper.

My Toto doesn't dig holes as he is busy catching the rabbit that has taken up residence in our back yard. This morning there he was with th rabbit in his mouth and trying to do his business at the same time. Quite the delemma. He had to let the rabbit go. I think it's a game these two play. I just wish the rabbit would stop making borrows in my garden.

This is what Yorkies are bred to do............DIG, DIG and DIG some more!! Their prey drive will kick in to tunnel down into a hole and get those pesky critters. Mine have never dug a hole in their lives, and I sure hope they don't find out how much fun it really is!
