Does your yorkie ..... Dig giant holes in your garden?? Scrappy does i think he is part mole i really do , i swear oneday i will break my ankle trying to walk across the grass, or maybe loose little lilly in a hole previously dug by the little beggar!! its amazing how i can never find the earth he has dug to refill the hole where does it go?? there i have had a rant, why should i care if my garden looks like a landmine testing centre xx:eek: |
Tansy has never been a digger, thank goodness :) She's more a Gatherer. After being in the garden, I have to go over her coat as she comes in with all sorts of stuff in it....bits of twig, dried leaves, seed pods, allsorts tangled in her long coat. Think I'll have to make her a gardening overall :D Several years ago, the people with the house next door bought a Labrador puppy. They had a really neat garden, lawn like a bowling green. It took the puppy about 3 weeks to turn it into somethin resembling the Somme. :aimeeyork :animal-pa :) |
Eddie loves to bury stuff in the dirt. We don't have a garden per se, but we have a bunch of 1 foot x 1 foot planters surrounding the back deck. Eddie will burn bones in the planters, flowers or not. |
1 Attachment(s) i must say Scrappy does not bury anything in the garden he just digs i dont know where he thinks he is going i really dont you would think to look at him butter would not melt in his mouth ! xx |
none of my babies are diggers...but i bet it is funny to watch... |
i must admit it does look funny the speed he digs at is frantic, if i see him i call his name and he is so engrossed in his digging session he cannot hear me. i adore him tho and he does make me laugh bless him xx |
Skippy's not a digger, but my other dog is. I think she's trying to get to China, so I have to stand right next to her when she's out so I don't fall in a mine hole. |
lol ... that is funny.. |
2 Attachment(s) None of my three little angels would ever do that to my garden, but my hubby's dog, Tasha (we call her "bayleaf the gardener" after the kid's programme "the herbs" - showing my age there, lol)(39 - not that old) is a Bearded Collie, and continuously heads for Australia, lol What a mess - holes that she sits in and you can't see her, and you would break your legs if you fell into them - they are HUGE:eek: ....and you are right, you can never find all the earth to refill them all again and are left with pits all over the place ! When she "sings" to the ice-cream van tune (howling) which is the old Dr Zivago film tune, it's funny if she is in one of her holes as the neighbours come out to listen to her, and they can't see anything, lol. My angels below, and then BAYLEAF Kenny's Beardie ! (WOOLEY MAMMOTH !) :animal-pa Debra x x x x 1. TARA TAMMY CASPER :aimeeyork :aimeeyork :aimeeyork 2. TASHA  |
:D Maya digs all day long if she could - LOL We will buy her her own Sandbox - she loves my daughters :D |
As a rule Murfee doesn't dig...but we took him camping at our deer lease and some kind of little creature had him digging up a storm. It was so funny 'cause he would dig so deep that we could only see his little butt over the edge. Ever seen the movie "holes"...well that's what it looked like outside our camper. |
My Toto doesn't dig holes as he is busy catching the rabbit that has taken up residence in our back yard. This morning there he was with th rabbit in his mouth and trying to do his business at the same time. Quite the delemma. He had to let the rabbit go. I think it's a game these two play. I just wish the rabbit would stop making borrows in my garden. |
porscha is not a digger thank goodness i only have a small garden :p but she luv's to run threw the rockery and eat the plant's when she come's in she look's like a flower child :D with everything from the garden stuck on her coat then run's when she see's the brush she also luv's hunting insect's round the path at night she's so funny |
This is what Yorkies are bred to do............DIG, DIG and DIG some more!!:D Their prey drive will kick in to tunnel down into a hole and get those pesky critters. :D Mine have never dug a hole in their lives, and I sure hope they don't find out how much fun it really is! :D |
