| Our Pup's Collars..... Good morning everyone! Now, I realise that we all use harnesses for our Littlies, but I personally also use a collar for Harry....his id tag/charms () etc. go on there. About 6 months ago, I started using a site called www.saltdogstudios.co.uk , I wonder if any of you use it too? The Company is run by a pair of sisters, probably the 2 most helpful people I have EVER met If there is any style of collar/lead/bandana etc. there that you like, a quick phone call or email....and they will make any style or variation personalised to your Littlie. Their returns policy is amazing, too....they will keep on doing it, until it's right! Unbelievable customer service. Their Christmas Collection has just started - I like to buy 'seasonal' collars for our Harry-boy....their selection of materials is FANTASTIC!!! Beach huts, underwater, tartan, gingham, camper vans.....you name it, they've got it! I'm so happy I found them - and those prices are wonderful, too!! And they ship world-wide.... Just thought I'd share! Sally + Harry x |

| Kathy, they were actually my first thought when I decided to post this.....!!! Not TOO sure it's actually Brit's 'cup of tea' though? Please have a look at the 'Teeny Weeny All' as well - and if you want a different size, length or width or anything - they will order in the materials and do it exactly to your spec.....that isn't very British!!! What I like is that the ladies are so amazingly helpful, a quick email with sizes: length, width, any combination of design etc., and it's done. I even had a 'beach-hut' slip-lead made for a friend of mine, which they made especially at no extra cost. Had a quick look at shipping to the US - £6.99....$11 ish dollars (I think!!). Not TOO bad? It cost me a helluva lot more than that to get Harry's Choke Free shipped over to me! (Worth it, though) plus I like having what other people don't have! Sally x | |

| Thank you for sharing, I'll have to check it out. Right now I have a collar on my girl, it's a kitten collar because she's small and needs a bell lol. I don't ever attach a leash to it and we haven't gone on walks yet. I do have a question as a new yorkie owner though...Do harnesses cause hair loss? I plan to have my girl in a long coat and have heard that harnesses can cause hair to fall out from the rubbing, or is that a lie? She would only wear it out on walks...Any advice is much appreciated! Last edited by Rainbows; 11-04-2013 at 03:21 AM. |

| Aaaah, I remember the days of the 'kitten collar', my goodness how Harry has grown!!! Please do have a look (they're nothing to do with me by the way, I just love their stuff!!!) - they do what they call 'teeny weeny' collars in a multitude of designs. And if you don't like those, they'll make them in any combination you wish (including collar buckle colours). Also, if you email them with your pup's neck size, they'll make them for you personally, at no extra cost, which I think is amazing As for harnesses, Pets at Home (not online) in their 'puppy' section, I know had really soft velvet ones in pale pink or pale blue, they were gorgeous. I got Harry's Choke Free imported from the US, it's just soft leather, and I've never had an issue with hair loss or it rubbing him. I think it probably depends on the material that it's made of, too. A lot on YT use the Buddy Belt, and you can get separate soft liners for that. There's a British website that sells them, I'll have a look and let you know. They're fairly expensive though, so it might be worth getting a cheaper one, until your pup's 'all grown up'!!!
