| Hello From Malta Hello everyone, this is my first post just to introduce myself and my little Yorkie, Jake We both live on the tiny island of Malta. I had always wanted a Yorkshire Terrier, 15 years ago I was given a Yorkie mix puppy, sadly I had to put her to sleep last July, just a few days before my birthday. Although she was a mixed breed, she looked more like a Yorkie, she was a very happy little dog, always ready to please and very obedient. I missed her terribly when she was gone and still do. Four weeks later, I was given a tiny Yorkie puppy. Little Jakey has brought me lots of happiness. I've been trying to house-train him but sometimes I feel he's training me . He's almost 4 months old now. I've got lots of questions and have been finding answers here on Yorkie Talk. Thanks! I will be posting a photo/s of Jake soon |

| Hello from Texas! I am so glad you have a wonderful new Yorkie and will be on YorkieTalk telling us about him and yourself! Welcome and post pictures and tell us about Jakey as often as possible.

| Thanks Barkleylove and Yorkietalkjilly, I am very happy to be here. Besides Jake, I must also mention that I have six cats. Jake loves to chase them but slowly they're all getting used to having him around, one of them simply ignores him completely |

| Hi your Jake is a real cutie. One of Buster's first buddies was my friends cat. She had a Yorkie, a Maltese, and 2 cats. The dogs would not play with Buster but the kitty did. Since then Buster has always wanted to meet all the kitties on our walks, sadly the kitties do not share the same feeling.

| Ohhoho, sounds about right. One day the cats will chase him back and they'll probably take turns until they start sleeping on each other and eating each other's food and become buddies!

| Hi again and thanks for more welcomes Your Yorkie ID pics are absolutely gorgeous! Yorkietalkjilly, one of my cats, Mimmie, has actually had a go at Jake and he squealed. He still tries to chase her but she ignores him, sometimes he goes up to her, tries to put his nose against hers but out comes her paw to hit him lightly on his head, it's so funny. Mickey just climbs up a tree in the garden and Peggy jumps up where he can't get to her. My other three cats seem to ignore him but they don't like him trying to nip at them. I think eventually they will all settle down and become buddies. Buster Brown, my first dog, Trixie, got on extremely well with my cats. She was a Yorkie mix though, I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it. |
