| Yorkie X with no social training or interaction with other dogs?? Hi all, I am looking for help with my 9 yr old Yorkie X (rescue dog). I have him 2 months and his problem is that when I bring him out for his walk, the minute he sees an other dog/cat even birds (but especially dog) he starts screaming and barking and gets in to a terrible state and I have to pick him up to try and calm him down. I bring treats and constantly tell him that he is a good boy when he is quiet. You would think that I am murdering him with the noise he makes. He is a perfect angel at home and I totally love him. He may not have every been socialized with other dogs but I dont know where to start!. Looking for advice and help of any kind. Thanks. |

| Yes I am presently with a trainer and she has explained that I may not see all that much improvement because of his age. Some days I get to walk him and he seems quite relaxed and mostly he starts whimpering the minute I open my gate and I try at this stage to comfort him and tell he is a "good dog".!! I cant see any end to this (for his sake) . Its sad!. |
