| More rain! Getting really fed up now.......do you think it's ever going to stop? Or is it going to be a real washout like last year Not sure about sunhats, think it's flippers they need! xx Meggie |

| loved the flippers instead of sunhats!! I just couldn't BEAR it if we had another 'summer' like the last one - I need some rays! When I woke up this morning at 7.00am the sky looked blue with just the odd fluffy cloud. I was thrilled! Unfortunately, it didn't last long at all. So, we just have to keep on hoping, I suppose. We are 'teased' by the odd beautiful day and we get all excited that the summer is finally here, only to have our hopes dashed. IT'S NOT FAIR!!! Luv Yvonne xxx |

| Well it's nice here... it was lovely and warm yesterday too. I'm sorry you're getting all the bad weather, I hope the wind will blow this nice weather to you for tomorrow.

| I was under the impression that it does rain quite a bit in England. I watch different shows filmed in England and it's always raining, or looks dreary like it's going to and is always wet. Same way in Washington state. Glad it only rains here off and on in the winter only. |

| You think you get it wet! Wales is known for it's rain! However, when it's sunny and warm like it is this week, it is a paradise. I live on Gower and it seems this month the whole of the world has descended on us because we have had favourable weather. That's ok by me because I appreciate the local traders/shops need the business but I do wish visitors to Gower (with our narrow and winding lanes) would slow down in their cars! I walk my three Yorkies on the moorland, through the lanes and down onto the beach (10 mins away) and every Summer it's the same - hoards of tourists with no sense of appropriate speed. Usually young surf dudes who tear down to the beach to catch the good surf! RANT OVER! Today was the first day for my new puppies to walk on the beach in the wet/dry sand. Wet sand wasn't a problem but dry sand was just too difficult for their tiny legs. They both attempted to hitch a lift on my feet as we trudged up the sand-dunes to get to the ocean. It was so funny, and the older Yorkie who is 10 and loves the beach, looked at them as if to say, it's tough but it's worth it just to get into that lovely blue ocean. It is such a joy to see them enjoying themselves so much, and the ride home in the pick-up is so peaceful as they all fall asleep minutes after the engine begins to turn over. I feel very lucky that the weather is so wonderful at the moment and so I'm out there making the most of training the puppies. Hope your weather improves soon!

| Wow, Gower does sound beautiful! I haven't been to Wales and will definitely keep Gower in mind should I ever manage to get there. I will remember to drive slowly, promise! How cute that your babies try to hitch a ride on your feet!! Must look adorable. Those sand dunes must give them a good workout. Just what my Tootsy needs. Luv Yvonne xx |

| Well, it's worse than ever here today....absolutely hammering it down, cold & windy I've one of my little Call Ducks who's been sitting on a clutch of eggs for a week now under a shrub in the garden. I tried to move her+eggs into her shed, but she was having none of it. This morning she looks like a drowned rat! Every morning her little drake comes out of their shed when I open up & promptly goes & shouts at her....."Where do you think you've been all night, you stupid woman!!" xx Meggie |

| Well hope you all don't care that I break in. But sounds like the sand dunes would be a great for the furbabies and wear them out. They must love the ocean and I know I would. We have had alot of rain this summer ourselves and lots of flooding. Sure don't want to see any rain myself for awhile.

| One of my grandfathers was from Wales (the other one from Holland) and I always thought how wonderful it would be to see that beautiful country. Both my great grandfathers were from Ireland. Talking about England and Wales makes me start thinking about taking a trip over now. |

| Course we don't mind if you break in, it's lovely to have people posting here....there don't seem to be many of us & it gets lonely! I managed to rig up a bit of a shelter over the little duck this morning while she'd gone off for her breakfast. You're so right, Yvonne, about them being fussy, that's the reason I haven't disturbed her before. One of my bantams once hatched 14 chicks under the floorboards in the ducks' shed! We thought she'd disappeared, fox got her or something, till one morning I heard all this chirping from under my feet.....then we had to make a hole in the floor & fish them out, one by one. xx Meggie |
