| Groomer recommendations? Wondering if anyone can recommend a good, trustworthy and gentle groomer in the Mississauga area. My yorkie has a cotton coat which is getting long and as a result, is getting badly matted in some areas. I've tried giving him a haircut myself but it doesn't look so good. Any suggestions would be appreciated |

| I could recommend one in a heartbeat if you were up around the Barrie area but in Mississauga... no idea. Sorry! Good luck in your search - I'm sure someone must know a good one down there too.

YT 2000 Club Member | I would look for a mobile groomer that could come to your home. If that isn't workable, call a vet's office and get a recommendation from them. I would not go to the pet store groomers unless you know one is excellent. They tend to be young, inexperienced and sometimes they do not know how to handle the dog. Ihave a groomer that comes to my home and grooms in my laundry room and I am watching her. I would not take my boys out. They could get kennel cough or other stuff. They put them in a cage with a hot dryer. No way. My groomer comes to me and I supervise the groom! Choose wisely, Yorkies are precious dogs! (All dogs are!) |

| I take Mocca to bark&fitz on Dundas and the 403. It's a bit pricey but they do an amazing job every time and treat dogs really nice. Mocca gets super excited when she gets there so I assume she doesn't have such a bad time while being groomed. Let me know if you need more info to find the place |

| We use the groomer located at The Animal Clinic on Mutual St. in Downtown Toronto. Her name is Erin and she is amazing with our fussy and fidgety Yorkies - they always come home beautiful and never a nick or cut on them (and they fidget a lot!) |
