| He's telling you he wants to go with you or for a walk! Most Yorkies do this. If you're trying to get out the door to go to work, change your routine, and/or teach him to go lay down. Once he knows what you're doing , he may calm down.

Yorkie Yakker | hi there, i try to calm him down before i go to the door but he just gets back up again. he's driving my female yorkie crazy with his behavior and the odd thing he stops as soon as i'm gone. chelsea the female is very laid back and would just go to sleep but joey goes bizerk. the vet advised us to just ignore him but sooner or later he's going to jump up and i'm afraid he'll grab at my ponytail |

| my yorkie use to do that too, he went through bad separation anxiety. he does not do that now, i give treats before i go and say the same words each time i go. but it took months for him to settle down. then again he is a rescue, so i don't know what he went through. does he do this if you leave the room and just go to the bathroom? or put him in another room and shut the door and you are in another room? like when company comes over? |
