I would like any info as this is Ginger's breeder. Her last owner had planned on breeding her. I have written to Charlotte about Ginger. I would need the advise of a professional before I would even consider any breeding. I just sent her papers to AKC today. I asked for her family tree.

Anyone have any ideas or thoughts about this!!

ok ... i was under the impression you were looking for a lap pet not a breeding dog .. also i thought you knew nothing about yorkies .. why do you want to breed?

Wow, don't get in such a huff. The person I bought this dog from wanted to breed her. She ask that I have this done. She is on her death bed, so I told her would consult a professional breeder about this. As your right, I don't have the proper knowledge about breeding. That's why I would get a professional opinion about it. All I asked for was some help on this matter. Your response is not helpful, it's just nasty. You know nothing about me or Ginger. For your information I did do quite abit of research on Yorkies before I just went out and bought one. I also have friends that own Yorkies, not that this is any of your business. Please don't bother to contact me again unless you have something constrictive to say. Have a nice day!!!

I just looked at "gottagetayorkie" site. Looks like they have some cute pets, but not breeding quality.
If you aren't showing Yorkies and trying to improve the breed, it's best to not breed. Yorkies have quite a few genetic health issues and breeding cute little pets, but not researching the overall history of your breeding animals can jump up and bite you in the butt.

This is the kind of help I was asking for. I am taking the time and effort to do this because I said I would. It is not my intention to become a breeder. In fact it seems like a lot of work. It's certainly is not about the money, as that is in no way a priority for me. Thank You Trish,I will be in touch with you.

I just didn't feel as though it was a very helpful response. I know she tried to sell me one of her pups. Some expert advise would be what I was asking for. Perhaps she feels as though I might be trying to compete with her. That's not my intention here. I'm just trying to follow through with a her original owners final request. I have no intention of showing Yorkies. I would never do anything that would hurt or her offspring in any way. Maybe someone could clarify the difference between a good healthy lap dog and a Yorkie for show. Does everyone here breed show dogs? Is there such a thing as healthy pet dogs? I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'm asking because I don't know. From what I understand the lady I got her from knows a lot about Yorkie's.

sorry I only retired my adult house broke dogs to people i know good luck try a rescue and btw you wont find a house broke puppy yorkies are hard to house train it takes a little longer to house break than other breeds i have two females for sale though 12 weeks old 1200 they are on a S/N contract a friend of mine has a litter also on a S/N contract but she will not give up akc paperwork the females will be 900

I am a pet owner just like you. I would let professional breeders handle the breeding's idea. There are already so many sick and unwanted dogs left behind so if your purpose is to improve the quality of the breed then go for it, if it is not and you only want to breed for fun... then please think twice about that.
