Here is an AKC link that lists the Yorkshire associations in your area. Maybe you could contact some of these people and they can point you in the right direction with some referrals? I really am not much use since I am on the other side of the country, but good luck in your search! http://www.akc.org/breederinfo/breed...?action=search

I am from Southern Ca and pretty familiar with a lot of breeders. It took me a long time to find my pup. The price you quoted is not unreasonable for this area You might try contacting YTCA members in Southern CA. www.ytca.org and go to "breeder contact" If they don't have pups available they may recommend someone that does. I know it is difficult, try to be patient. It's worth the wait. I did not go to anyone that posted in the Newspaper. Had one bad experience in the past with that. good luck

I would be sure to ask about a guarantee. I have a one year guarantee with my little girl. I got her from Deb Sillers of Amazing Yorkies. (she is a member here on yt) My little girls name is Zoe and she is beautiful but of course, I'm a little partial. I also thought that 4 lbs is a little small to breed and that 5 lbs or more (not more than 7) is a desireable. Anyways, here is a photo of my baby and she is 15.5 weeks now - this photo is a week or two old. Good luck.

This lady (Linda) shows Yorkies and has a spotless reputation with her pups. She doesn't have pups very often and always has a waiting list and these pups are expensive at about $2,600. but well worth it. http://www.bejazeyorkies.com/
