| New to Yorkies Hi everyone, My wife and I hae decided to look for a Yorkie albeit not until probably after the first of the year. You see just one month ago our beautiful little boy Odie, Llasa Apso, passed away. What was the hardest was that he passed in my arms and it took me almost 2 hours before I could compose myself enough to wake my wife and let her know. Needless to say we have done a lot of crying since that day. After much consideration, as mentioned, we have decided on gettng a Yorkie girl puppy. Not knowing what the best way to find a good puppy I chose to join you guys and hopefully someone could direct me. We live in Citrus Heights, Ca which is a suburb of Sacramento, Ca. I am currently doing this on the Q.T. because come the first of the year I would really like to surprise my wife with the new baby. Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance and I will anxiously await for any response. Kindest regards, Paul |

| I am so very sorry about your Odie. You have certainly come to the right place to find out more about Yorkies. Welcome aboard!

| Thank you Lisa for the kind words and for the "welcome aboard". I am hoping to find a good and honest breeder where I can find this new addition. As previously mentioned it will not be until after the first of the year but if you or someone out there knows of a couple I can at least start talking to please do let me know. Again, thank you for your kind welcome! Paul |

| Check out the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America. Yorkshire Terrier Club of America Look at their breeder section. Most of the breeders on here are reputable but always be sure to do your research. You can also go to dog shows in your area and talk to breeders there. Good luck!!! And Welcome to YT. |
