| Yorkie Stolen In Long Beach I was looking at Yahoo today and came accross a video of a little 8 year old boy that had his yorkie stolen from him. They told the story and gave the description of the person only saying that he had a large bird tattoo on his neck. So tonight the Hubby and I are at a Home Depot in LA (only 20 min from LB) and I am standing waiting for the hubby to come back with a cart and as I am waiting I hear this employee being kind of mean to this older lady (brushing her off not wanting to help) in a smarty pants kind of way. As he turns to walk away he looks directly at me (more than willing to help a younger blond lady)and much to my amazement the guy had a huge bird tattoo on his neck. The yorkie story has not left my mind all day and I almost asked him if he did it!!! If he could be mean to an older person he could probably could push a child down and steal his dog. My husband told me I am being a paranoid weirdo but you never know...I told him it was my duty as a yorkie owner to say something and what if that happend to me I would want every lead possible to be checked out. What do you think I have no evidence and he could be a nice man (although hard to believe after what I heard) should I say something just to get it checked out? Am I just being overly paranoid about it?

| ABSOLUTELY! YOU MUST SAY SOMETHING! The police will discretely check it out. The sooner you say something, the better. The reason they report this on the news or online is to alert the public. The police will appreciate the lead and if it is NOT him, no harm done. You need to call them tonight! Before he can get rid of the dog IF it is him. Tell hubby, this time YOU know best!

| I would say something! It amazes me what little details or chances of luck that some crimes are solved by. It can never hurt to check out leads and it could be the one that leads to a good outcome.

Senior Yorkie Talker | I would have went out to my car and called the cops, and then tried to get his license (wsp?) plate number just so they could follow up

| I think you should call the authorities. It could be a coincidence but how many people have a bird tattooed on their neck? And I have 13 tattoos and know a lot of people with tattoos, but not anyone with a bird on their neck. It's probably worth checking out. I think you'll feel a lot better if you call.

| Update.... The little boy had his Yorkie returned, safe and sound. (other than a haircut) The found the guy, apparently he wanted to give his gf/wife a Yorkie for a Mother's Day Present....So he stole it from the kid.... Some people! Anyhow, here is some more good news, someone who heard of the story gave the little boy a Yorkie to replace the one that had been stolen Now he has 2 Yorkies! |

| So interesting! Did you ever find out if it was him, or was it someone else? All that really matters is that the little boy got his Yorkie back, but I'm curious if it was the Home Depot guy afterall? Like others said, I definitely would've called the cops! |

| Hi, I am a new member, but I read your message about the stolen baby in LB. I would most definitely at least report it to the LBPD. Do you think they filed a report? I would get in touch with the member with the story and have them head over to the store and check out this "possible" suspect for themselves! I mean how many people would have a bird tattoo on their neck? Denise |
