|  Just joined YT! Hello everyone! I just joined YT and I am extremely excited to be here! My cousins and I can't wait to purchase our first pet Yorkie. We have lots to learn, but let's hope for the best!  I do have a question though. I was wondering where everyone purchased their Yorkies. I live in Northern California.  |

| Hi and welcome to YT. I got my first two Yorkies in TN. and the third one in Bakersfield, CA. What ever you do, don't buy from a pet store or back yard breeder. There are some great Yorkie Rescues that you could also check out. |

| to YT... This site has lots of helpful info... Be sure to search, search, search... to find as much information about Yorkies as possible (i.e.: potty training, temperment, etc...) Best of luck

| Welcome, I live in the Bay Area too!! In Redwood City. There are some Yorkie meetup groups in the Peninsula and San Francisco, where you could come and meet some breeders. You can go to Meetup: World's largest community of local Meetups, clubs and groups! - Meetup.com and then put in Yorkie in the search and you will find both groups. The SF meet has alot of dogs and many breeders and it's next meetup is this Sunday, May 4th at 1pm.
