1 Attachment(s) Okay - one more time. Hopefully the photo will be here now. T. |
topknot.....wholy $#!* she is absolutly beautiful. WOW!!!!!!! now that is a beauty. i just wanted to let you know and as far as this thread, i hope the two involved can work this out. |
Lisa - thank you so much. She is a beauty! I do not think that people on here realize that what they say can effect someone. This forum goes out to so many people and you do have to watch out how you go about doing something and especially watch how you say something. I do hope that all things will work out in the end. Dixie is a cutie. She may put on some more weight at around a year - 1.5 years of age. I had a bitch that was soooo small and seemed once she got to 4 pounds she stopped growing for a while. I just kept hoping that she may put on just one more pound in the end. I also checked with my vet and he assured me she would be fine and be close to 5 pounds as an adult. Well, you know how we worry - I was the worst and started to think of her weight all the time. It was driving me crazy! Well, she is now 5 pounds and did not put on the last weight till the very end. She is now 1 year and 5 months. I purchased her at 6 months of age and she was okay at that age and felt like she would be about 5 pounds. Well, then from 6 months to 1 year she did not grow much at all. So you just do not know. My best to all involved and hope there is a happy ending. :) T. |
well i am not trying to bash pam and no she would not let me and a few others that bought pup go to her home to see parents thats a fact she always wanted us to meet at her work even though we met at a different place and my contract does state if she is not the quality or size i was needing she would buy her back i am not saying pam has bad dogs just dixie is very small pam knew i was looking for a girl to show and she advertised her as a show girl and told me she believed dixie would get big enough to show she said at least 4.5 or bigger and pam needed the money asap so i bought her to also help pam out with what she needed the money for you are correct my bad for buying her so young and not knowing what she may be i just dont understand if it is in my contract to buy her back if she is small and can not be shown why should i have to waite a year and a half for her to do so by that time i would be very attached and not want to give her up and i dont understand why she sells these babies so young and of course with people like me buying one why not my bad there again pam is not a bad person i guess not all would agree with her breeding practices as they may not mine oh i take full responabilty for buying dixie i should have just looked for an older bigger girl so i knew what i was getting i keep telling her dixie was not growing and she kept telling me give it time but with her sisters twice her size at the same age i knew she would not get very big and i dont have the extra money to just buy pets with if pam does not buy dixie back which she stated to me in a email she is not in the position to buy dixie back at this time and for me to sell her and if she did buy her back she would have to see if she was big enough to buy for her breeding program and i do have the email saved so are you telling me i should continue with her shots care and raising her to a year and a half old till pam decides if she wants her no i dont think that would be fair to me do you this is just really messed up all i wanted to do is ask a few question that i was very unsure of and wanted to hear from others that had bought from her and i am the bad guy well if i am so be it but i dont take spending 2000 lightly do you and there are others on here that are not really happy either and if they dont want to step forward thats ok just because one person has a good experence doesnt mean the next will |
One reason to wait is that she might get bigger once she is a year old. She is only just over 4 months now. She has a lot of growing still to do. You just do not know right now - what her adult weight will get to. Most show potential from well know show breeders are going to cost you over 3,000 and co-ownership till championship title is earned and sometimes also a puppy back. You only paid 2,000. Most reputable breeders place in their contracts that the buyer must contact the seller if they decide to sell or not keep the pup any more. This allows the breeder the first right to purchase back one of their own pups or to help rehome it. Sometimes the breeder does not have the available funds to buy back the pup, but they will do what they can to find it another home. Have you asked Pam to help you search for a new owner so you can rehome Dixie and buy another pup? Most reputable breeders I know - will ask the owner to hold on to the pup until it reaches a year old to make sure of the weight. It is just the norm. T. |
JAPA means praise the LORD its pam, thats what i used to say praise the Lord ! pups! never in the world would i have known how nasty people could be,,, i dont even want to breed for people like the ones who bash and slander others, ive neve done that to anyone, like i said, rose , id take her back after you try your hand at showing, if your not happy, because i liked you,and im hurtdeeply ,that you,& others for doing this , just go back and read the stuff you wrote, its slander, also i dont expect to see if dixie fits in my breeding program, most of mine arent breeders anyway, just lovers pam |
that would be fine but dixie has been 2.6 for awhile now no sign of growing at all and i always try and keep enough money in my account that if someone is not happy and there is a problem i can comply yes you are right she still can grow but my vet told me with her body structer being so tiny he doubted she would get much bigger being a very small person and not having many dogs i get very attached to them i have a total of 4 at this time and really wanted to start her in a puppy class i know there is no right or wrong on this matter it just seems like all feel its ok with the whole thing and a very dear show breeder to me doubts she will get much bigger as she has seen her and said she thinks she will be to small for show or breeding you know yourself you need at least a five pound girl in the ring to do anything if your lucky |
pam would you like me to post your email and i have showed so whats up with that i know about the show ring have you ? lets be nice i dont think this is being a really bad thread to what to know more about the breeder you bought your pup from i have not said once that you are a bad person or have bad dogs |
you did advertise dixie as show potional at 8 weeks on puppy find and i did talk with you for several days about her and you did tell me to hurry up and make my mind up that you had another buyer i have the emails saved as well and you did tell me you needed to hurry up and sell her so you could buy another puppy in fact the day i bought her we sat in your car and talked about the dog you were in a hurry to buy and we both know what i am talking about i am just heart broken that i feel you knew she would be small and last year when we talked about a girl you had you would not sell her to me because you knew she would not get there so i know you must know your dogs and what they are going to do |
so with all being said i have asked the adm to close this thread i guess you just dont need to talk about any breeder on her weather it be good or bad all is not what it always seem to all and its a shame that when i have several emails i could back my story up with that it is just not worth it i will do what i need to with dixie and chalk it up to a lesson learned and yes pam you are right god does know all..................... |
i don't know how Pam can even insuiate that Rose doesn't love this baby. The day Rose went to get her she called me on the cell phone on her way home and was just 'over the moon" estatic about her. She is heartbroken that this has not worked out. pam keeps saying we don't know her, well, most of you don't know Rose either. She is a nice person and cares deeply for all her dogs. I have to admit when I first started talking to Rose I didn't know if I liked her or not but over the past few months we have gotten to know each other really well. her friendship has been a great asset to me and I have learned many things from her. We talk nearly every day. If Rose says that a dog isn't making the grade, you can trust that she knows what she is talking about. |
thank you:animal-pa |
BE VERY CAREFUL when dealing with this breeder. I purchased a male puppy from Pam Brummitt (Japa Pups) last September. He was born on 6/1/06, and was 14 weeks old when I purchased him. He was listed on Puppyfind as "Romeo". His parents were Teagan and Vegas. I told Pam right from the start that I was wanting a male that would be in the 5 lb range as a future stud. She told me he was still under 3 lbs at 14 weeks, and that she knew her lines and this pup was just about done growing. So, after talking with her some more, and seeing more pictures...I sent her the money by 2nd day mail and had the puppy shipped to me 2 days later. The puppy I received was NOT the puppy I thought I was getting, he was almost 1 lb bigger then she had just told me he was 2 days prior to getting him shipped. As anyone with a toy breed such as yorkies know...1 lb makes a huge difference when trying to estimate a pups future weight. If Pam would have been honest to me about the pups real size...I would have known he was going to be on larger side, and I would have looked elsewhere. Simple as that. But she chose to lie to me about his weight so that I would buy him. I called Pam as soon as I returned home from picking him up, and she would not answer her phone or return any of my calls. I left messages, and pleaded with her to get back with me about the puppy, but she never once would pick up the phone, nor call me back. She had just shipped one of her "precious babies" on a plane...but would not pick up the phone to see if he at least made it safely. She knew I was unhappy and did not want to deal with me personally. The only way she would converse with me was through email. She told me (by email) I did not love the puppy and was not giving him a chance. She kept promising me that she knew her lines and he would not get over 5 lbs. And if he did...she would resell him for me. He also arrived with kennel cough, and was officially diagnosed by a vet 3 days after his arrival. Pam told me the puppy did not have kennel cough, even though my vet said he did. She said and I quote..."he only has a sore throat from crying all night because you don't love him". Pam said it did not matter, as my 2 day guarantee was over...and my contract was now void. I offered to drive the puppy back to return him, and Pam told me that she never takes any puppies back and she would not take this one back since he was sick. I made it perfectly clear to her from the beginning, that I wanted a breeding quality male. The pup I recieved was not breeding quality and quickly went over standard size. She also lied to her vet, the airlines and the state of Kentucky about his age. He was over 14 weeks old and clearly needed a rabies vaccination (BY LAW) before he could be shipped to me. She told her vet and the airlines he was only 11 weeks old to keep from having to pay for the rabies shot. The pup who now weighs over 8 lbs, is living a very happy life as a neutered pet. Something Pam should have sold him as in the first place. But I was new to the breed, and she saw me coming from a mile away. After reading this thread...I find something very interesting. Pam told me since my pup was over 14 weeks old, he was just about done growing and would not get much bigger. She kept telling me that "she knew her lines". She now tells Rose that her 5 month old puppy who is out of the same bitch as the male I purchased, needs time to grow for a full year and a half to reach her final weight. Well Pam...which one is it? |
Your Both Nuts You Know , No One Can Garuntee Size, As It Says In My Contract, Also In Your Case, You Did Not Take Your Pup To The Vet For 5 Days, And If He Did Contract Kennel Cough I, It Was Not At My Place,it Also Stated In The Contract That You And Rose Signed, Same Contract I Give Everyone, You Have 48 Hrs To Take To The Vet, Neither One Of You Did That,so You Voided Your Contract, No Im Far From Perfect Myself, But I Know I Do The Right Thing And Oh, By The Way, If I Take Roses Pup Back, Its Because I Do Think She Will Grow Yet And Also I Love The Mom, I Never Wanted To Sell Either Of You A Dog, And Wish I Never Did, Both Of You Have Been Nothing But A Pain In The, ,, Since I Sold Them To You, I Have Warned Many Other Breeders About You All, So They Dont Get Harrased , I Doubt Either One Of You Will Ever Be Happy With Any Dog Ever, Pam |
Oh About Rabies This Is For You Karen, The State Of Ky Says They Dont Have To Be Vacinated For Rabies Untill 16 Weeks Old, 4 Mo, No ,no One Lied To You, You Did Not Take The Responsible Advice Of The Contract States, You Must Take To The Vet Within The 48 Hrs, As For Size, The Vet Has The Recorded Wieght At Time Of Sale, I Was Correct, You Were Wrong Tho Unhappy, Im Not Kmart Where You Can Buy And Decide If He Fits Into You Plan,, Ive Never Had A Person Wanting To Return One Before You,, Contract States I Do Not Garuntee Size, Or If You Will Be Able To Breed Or Show Your Dog, You Lied About Taking Him To The Vet , Saying 3 Days When It Was 5 Days, Yes If He Got Kennel Cough, Maybe He Got It From All The Other Dogs Coming And Going, As He Did Not Get It Here, The Real Reason You Didnt Want Him , Is He Wasnt A Tiny Dog, You Said Something Under 5 Lb, And Yes I Thought But Cant Garuntee That He Wouldnt Grow, You Cant Realy Garuntee That, Just As My Contract States |
ok here goes the truth i talked with pams vet today doctor grimes in lousiville ky and i asked about dixie health on her check up i have kept quite untill now dixie(aka leeaa) has dwarism and an open font when i bought dixie i was not advised by pam that she had this condition and givin the opportunity to turn this sale down i now have had many demands put on me by pam in order to return dixie i had her vet checked and my vet confirmed this also pam has asked that i have dixies shot up to date she requires 5 5-1 at 5 months old plus kennel cough plus flea protection and on and on and adm said i could post all vet findings and emails to confirm my story as long as they are between me and this breeder and so i have now decided to go further with this i will not be returning dixie to pam at this time i do not feel as though she can make any demands on me as she knew of dixies condition when i bought her this is a breeders forum to report all good or bad on any breeder this is not an attack on pam just her practices with her breeding program i also found out that when dixie was vet checked by pams vet that he was told they were eight weeks old the date they were vet checked was 3/12/07 and there birth date is 01/23/07 now you add up how many weeks they were and at this time she had shipped 2 pups to another yt member on march 13 /07 i feel as though i was scammed by not being told of dixie condition when i purchased her and being charged 2000 dollars and another 150 for a vet check up last week so i just feel that this has to stop and i feel cheated and lied to and i feel as though pam had no right to call me a liar in the begining |
pam all have seen my dogs zoe chaz and kiki and i love them dearly and i love dixie no less and if you did not want to sell me and the other yt members a dog than why did you  you had no problem taking my 2000 cash when we meet at a crackel barrel because you would not let me come to your home again my bad for being so trusting |
Pam, it is ashame that two other people have had to go through this type of stress and you know what I am talking about when it comes to Lil Bit. |
I Want Her Back, Will See You Tomorrow OK, I DO NOT REMEMBER MY VET SAYING ANY SUCH THING AS DWARFISM, ISNT THAT JUS A TINY DOG? AS FOR THE FONTNEL, I CANT REMEMBER HER HAVING IT EITHER, AND DONT HAVE ANY VET REPORT FROM MY VET EITHER ON IT, BUT IF ITS SO, AND EVEN IF IT WASNT ,ID STILL WANT HER BACK, SHE WAS MY FAVORITE ONE AND PERFECT AS FAR AS IM CONCERNED, AND I WAS GLad youd give her the shot before you returned her, seems like maybe i asked for too much? i just want to be sure shes protected , and ill be waiting for her return tomorrow , at 11.00 at my vet, no questions asked, ill have your 2000.00 for you and you can search for your perfect puppy, she will be much loved here too, again i wish none of this happened, i just want you to be happy and im perfectly happy with getting her back, just like i stated on our contract, see you sat at 11.00 ,, cant wait to have her back!:) pam |
ok thats fine with me as far as the dwarfism the way you r vet explained it to me was that the open font is caused by dwarfism not the other way aound he said is was a retardation of growth and that is why the font does not close and the dog does not grow this was all explained to me by dr grimes as for dixie please do understand i do love this dog very much she is a real sweet heart and very loving and how can you think that if she gets big enough you would even consider breeding her i would never i would have her spayed and be done with it i really hate all of this my heart is breaking and no i am not happy but i must do as i must for my well being and dixie i have bigger girls and i am afraid they will hurt her later on even if only in play she is very tiny boned and it would not take much to hurt her i am looking out for this pup and her well being i wish i could havve placed her in another home for a pet maybe pam will have better luck than i i do not feel right selling a pup with an open font to someone when i am not the breeder and could not give a health guarantee on this girl |
Dwarfism is not just a tiny dog. If the Dwarfism is caused by the pituitary gland will result in a dog that retains their puppy coat, experiences thinning hair and eventually loses their hair, the skin will darken, their adult teeth may not come in, and they will have immune system problems and severe joint problems. It is hereditary and the mother and father should not be used for breeding again. It it also recommended that none of the littermates be used for breeding either because they may be carriers. These dogs will not live a full life. The only treatment is human growth hormone which is expensive, may not be available to your vet, and the success rate varies. |
What will happen to Dixie if she is returned to you? Will she be used for breeding, will you resale her, or will you keep her as a pet? Her medical care could be very expensive if she has dwarfism or develops hydrocephalus due to the open fontanel. |
hi rose i have many i dont breed, she will just be one of them, i realy did not remember my vet telling me about this tho, how i could forget it? im not sure, with all the stuff going on with my parents, mom with the debilitating althimers, and this is why i dont want visitors, shes not up to having people around, as althimers is heriditary, and her mom had it, and now mom, maybe im heading that direction too, i dont know, dads heart failure is not recovering, and i havent been up to par on things, realy did not want to sell you a bad dog, never intended that, i will still want her ,as my momma dog is getting up in years, she was always my favorite, and glad together back, ill send you pictures of her, from time to time too if you want bye call me in the morning, we will take care of this, pam |
This will be my last post on this subject as my only intentions in posting my review was to warn others about you, as I promised you I would. As far as the rabies shot...you DID lie to your vet, the airlines and the state by stating he was only 11 weeks old on official state forms and the vet certificate needed to ship him. When in truth he was over 14 weeks old. This is fact. Are you saying that this is not true? I still have the paperwork to prove it. As far as his weight...we both know what you did. I NEVER asked you to guarantee his adult weight. But I did ask for a truthful current weight from you, so I could try and make an educated estimate at his adult size. Isn't that what anyone looking for a future breeding quality stud would ask a breeder and expect a truthful answer? You knew I wanted a male as close to 5 lbs as possible. If I had known his current weight was almost 4 lbs instead of under 3 lbs like you told me...I would have politely declined to buy him. You told me exactly want I wanted to hear as far as his weight was concerned to get me to purchase him. As I have already mentioned...the dog has a great home and is a wonderful pet. But you never knew that did you Pam. NO...because you would never answer your phone. |
well to be honest i wish she was placed in a forever home where she could be loved all by herself i dont understand how you can breed dogs and give them the attention they need when you are so busy with your inlaws i know it would be to much for me |
hi no she will be my baby, just like she was before, i have many that do not breed, i dont care about breeding, as much as the care of the dog, i raised her from a baby from the day she was born i held her,and loved her, no shes perfect to me, i cant see it any other way, money is no object to me , as i spend everything i have on my baby dogs, they are my kids, i cant wait to have her here with me, ive missed her terribly, if its true dwarfism, and i know its not, then she wont grow, we will see, ill send pictures of her as she matures, ive fixed many dogs ive bought with health problems, and ill spend my last dime on them, i buy the most expensive food, and the vet care is most important to me, more than i care for anything for myself, my dogs always come first, ive went to no ends to repair and spay and nueter dogs that ive bought and could not use, ive paid 3000.00 to 5000.00 to fix some problems at specialty vets, no these are my kids, they come first, |
Pam I emailed you about Lil Bit could you please email me back. |
hi im not worried about this, and yes i myself have been treated with hgh, i have a pititary problem, mine does not work at all, the meds i was recieving for mysef was 600.00to700.00 a month. i gave it up after a year with no results on myself, but if i need to get it for her, no big deal, i can do all things thru Christ, who strethens me, and helps me, He knows i love my dogs and He will provide all i need for them pam |
i can do all things thru Christ who streghthens me, when im weak He makes me strong, when in down , He raises my spirit, i can do it,, yes my mom , and my dad, and my mother in law, and my whole family, all have alot of problems, but God will help me, rose, i want to say im sorry for disapointing you, i never meant to, pam |
