| I feel this has ended. Glenda has straightened everything out. I know her and believe me she would Never in this world Ever, Ever sell her dogs to a pet shop. She interviews each person before selling her pups. She checked me out before I bought one of her girls. She also has checked back with me from time to time to see how she was doing. She is very concerend for her dogs and loves them very much. I honestly believe what she has said and trust her 100 percent!! Just to add: This post section here was supose to be about another breeder and then got off track, which I believe was not supoose to continue, but stay focused with Celtic. My two cents: I have been here for several years and this will be my last post. JMO - That some of you are way too quick to judge people and not get all the facts or realize a good breeder when you see one. But yet there are some breeders on here doing terrible things to ruin our breed and you guys say nothing and do nothing to them. I have seem too many people on here that breed way below the standard, breed too often, many do not test their dogs before breeding, and one after another litter after another, many on her goo after the litter and congratulate them. I also was the one to ask admin to add in the show section on YT. Yes, it was my idea to try and help. I can no longer stand by and watch this happen and am tired of trying to make a difference. This was the last straw. Last edited by topknot; 11-28-2008 at 01:23 AM. |

| I thought everyone, except the OP, was supportive of Brenda. I know I am. I am currently discussing the purchase of one of her pups. Neither this thread, nor the earlier thread has changed my view that she is reputable Yorkie breeder, and I look forward to getting a pup from her. If it was my comment, "If this is true, what should we do, e.g., not purchase from the breeder?" I didn't mean this as a negative. I specifically used the term breeder and not a breeder name. I meant now you've provided this info, so what are we supposed to do with it?

Anyone of you can call any true reputable show breeder of any breed and just ask if they are friends with pet shop people or send them puppies from friends as a favor..Is sending any puppy to a pet shop a favor?? You don't know who these puppies go home with or how long they are sitting in a cage before they actually find a home..what favor she is doing for these puppies!!! It use to make me so sad to see a puppy or older dog living in a cage in a pet shop, sitting there so sad wanting to get out of that cage, just stretch their legs, get off of wires into a soft bed and just be loved..my heart always broke for them. This is how you are devoted and LOVE your breed so much?? It wasn't just one puppy every now and then..one paper has six in a single shipment. I think you all know the truth by now. It's all right here. I think Karen is owed an apology. As you can see, she didn't come on here in anger or jealously , she spoke the truth. | |

| You are correct...GB's name would NOT be on puppies that belong to someone else, even if she shipped the puppies FOR another person.....The other persons name WOULD be on the papers... |

| Yes, and then they get homes, and some spend hours a day in a crate. Is this a bad thing?

| I still don't get the point of the OP. What are we supposed to do with this information?

| I have been reading this forum for a couple years now and WOW, I have watched many times how several on here are ask about a breeders web page and, just from looking at pictures some people on here start saying negative things about the breeder, posting Red Flags, etc without even knowing the breeder OR any information or even knowing the breeder.....casting judgments against a person Without even knowing.....and now, with information about GB, her Kennel (which many on here just Red Flag any breeder with a kennel) are calling the person with the Information a Liar, a Troll......hummmmmmm.........This is why I just read and never post!!!!!! |

| There is nothing you can "do" with it except be grateful you now have better knowledge and the truth. Thank her for her honesty in letting people know the dark side of this woman, and last apologize for all the unfair attacks and names that was thrown at her. It's funny, not one person who asked Karen for solid proof in a badgering way, had solid proof themselves in proving it wasn't true. People wouldn't be out seeking reputable breeders if we did not care about where our pets came from. What she has been doing is not ethnical, not in my eyes anyway. In no shape or form would I want to support a breeder who hides behind the glamour of a show ring , and lives her dark side as a broker. Lets face it..even giving her the benefit of the doubt, she "is" doing this as a *good friend*..you mean to tell me she is going to the vet, bringing all these puppies for a health certificate, giving shots, buying shipping crates, bringing them to the airport and not making a dime because she is doing a friend a favor?? Do you really deep in your heart believe this? With her show career and all her dogs she has in her kennel..she is just doing this because she is a nice person? No! In my eyes, it's called a puppy broker. I am not a vicious person at all. But when it come to someone deceiving innocent people, I have a real problem with that and thats why you are hearing my voice. |

| Whether you would sell your pups to a pet shop or not does not excuse (by your own admission) the fact that you would and did ship pups for a pet shop. It still supports the puppy mill cycle. Just my opinion. You can be someone's friend without helping support the tragedy that exists amongst pups sold at pet stores including their parents that have no or limit vet care and live their lives in tiny cages. This is very disappointing to hear. Elaine |

| Did we establish the fact that the pups originated in a puppy mill, or is it assumed that they came from a puppy mill?
