I feel this has ended. Glenda has straightened everything out. I know her and believe me she would Never in this world Ever, Ever sell her dogs to a pet shop. She interviews each person before selling her pups. She checked me out before I bought one of her girls. She also has checked back with me from time to time to see how she was doing. She is very concerend for her dogs and loves them very much. I honestly believe what she has said and trust her 100 percent!! Just to add: This post section here was supose to be about another breeder and then got off track, which I believe was not supoose to continue, but stay focused with Celtic. My two cents: I have been here for several years and this will be my last post. JMO - That some of you are way too quick to judge people and not get all the facts or realize a good breeder when you see one. But yet there are some breeders on here doing terrible things to ruin our breed and you guys say nothing and do nothing to them. I have seem too many people on here that breed way below the standard, breed too often, many do not test their dogs before breeding, and one after another litter after another, many on her goo after the litter and congratulate them. I also was the one to ask admin to add in the show section on YT. Yes, it was my idea to try and help. I can no longer stand by and watch this happen and am tired of trying to make a difference. This was the last straw. |
I thought everyone, except the OP, was supportive of Brenda. I know I am. I am currently discussing the purchase of one of her pups. Neither this thread, nor the earlier thread has changed my view that she is reputable Yorkie breeder, and I look forward to getting a pup from her. If it was my comment, "If this is true, what should we do, e.g., not purchase from the breeder?" I didn't mean this as a negative. I specifically used the term breeder and not a breeder name. I meant now you've provided this info, so what are we supposed to do with it? |

Anyone of you can call any true reputable show breeder of any breed and just ask if they are friends with pet shop people or send them puppies from friends as a favor..Is sending any puppy to a pet shop a favor?? You don't know who these puppies go home with or how long they are sitting in a cage before they actually find a home..what favor she is doing for these puppies!!! It use to make me so sad to see a puppy or older dog living in a cage in a pet shop, sitting there so sad wanting to get out of that cage, just stretch their legs, get off of wires into a soft bed and just be loved..my heart always broke for them. This is how you are devoted and LOVE your breed so much?? It wasn't just one puppy every now and then..one paper has six in a single shipment. I think you all know the truth by now. It's all right here. I think Karen is owed an apology. As you can see, she didn't come on here in anger or jealously , she spoke the truth. |
 You are correct...GB's name would NOT be on puppies that belong to someone else, even if she shipped the puppies FOR another person.....The other persons name WOULD be on the papers... |

YES! Don't get a dog if that is the life you can offer them. |
I still don't get the point of the OP. What are we supposed to do with this information? |
I have been reading this forum for a couple years now and WOW, I have watched many times how several on here are ask about a breeders web page and, just from looking at pictures some people on here start saying negative things about the breeder, posting Red Flags, etc without even knowing the breeder OR any information or even knowing the breeder.....casting judgments against a person Without even knowing.....and now, with information about GB, her Kennel (which many on here just Red Flag any breeder with a kennel) are calling the person with the Information a Liar, a Troll......hummmmmmm.........This is why I just read and never post!!!!!! |

 I agree |
Whether you would sell your pups to a pet shop or not does not excuse (by your own admission) the fact that you would and did ship pups for a pet shop. It still supports the puppy mill cycle. Just my opinion. You can be someone's friend without helping support the tragedy that exists amongst pups sold at pet stores including their parents that have no or limit vet care and live their lives in tiny cages. This is very disappointing to hear. Elaine |
Did we establish the fact that the pups originated in a puppy mill, or is it assumed that they came from a puppy mill? |
ahhhhh....I think that is soooooooooooo very sad that puppies were shipped to a Pet Shop...I know GB said they weren't hers, but I am very sadden that she would support a Pet Shop....those poor pups, god only knows what kind of family they wound up in :( :( :( :( |
Puppy mills - bad Brokers - bad Pet Stores - bad People that buy dogs from a pet store - bad? |

Reputable breeders do not have friends/ connections with people who own pet shops!!! EVER! Pet shops are related to puppy mills, we all know this, it is not a secret. period. Just the fact she admitted a connection to Puppy Love should say something. Why on earth would a big time show breeder time and time again have puppies shipped to a pet shop, even if it wasn't their dogs???( yea right ) I called Puppy Love and the owner answered the phone, this was a few days ago. She denied knowing Glenda..said she has never even heard of her... strange that they are good friends?? If there was nothing to hide, why deny having a good friend or knowing her..or even the name?? How on earth is a show breeder in Oklahoma "good" friends with a pet shop owner in CT??? I am sorry, this is a cover up and now I am mad. Another thing..why would Glenda be down as the owner on these certificates and not the people who actually owns the puppies ??? Does this make sense? If it was just a favor, why would she even have her name on papers if they weren't even her dogs and take a chance being related to a pet shop? All this for a favor to a friend?? I don't think so. All Glenda fans can jump on and beat me up.. I don't care...It's very sad you all have been a victim of her deceit and I feel sorry that you stuck up for her through thick and thin. I hope you see the writing on the wall. Proof is plain common sense. glenda beavers Perhaps I shouldn't be so surprised how hard it is to sell the truth, how easy to buy the lies. If you still feel for some reason I haven't shown you enough proof with this health certificate, there's little else I can do. http://webmail.aol.com/39997/aol/en-...wMail&partId=5 Obviously Ms. Beavers was not aware that these health certificates are required to be filed with the Dept of Agriculture in Hartford, CT. Not all states require this step, but CT does for rabies tracking purposes. The certificates are available to the public under the Freedom of Information Act, anyone can access them. In doing research on breeders selling to local stores, I happened to Google Ms. Beavers and came upon this Yorkie chat site. I just shared what I had. When Nancy Silverman (owner of Puppy Love) denied knowing Glenda, she was obviously trying to protect her. She inadvertantly threw Glenda under the bus so to speak when Glenda said on this site that she and Nancy are good friends, not knowing Nancy had already been questioned about her. Oops, guess they should have gotten their stories straight first. Regardless of Ms. Beaver's show reputation (about which I care little, I'm into animal rescue, not show rings), if she is selling her puppies to retail outlets (pet stores) and has more than 3 breeding females at her facility, she is required by law to have a USDA breeder's license. If she is selling on behalf of others to sell to pet shops, she is required by law to have a USDA Broker's license. She has neither. This means that her facility is not being inspected, nor is she paying fees to the USDA based upon sales figures. This is reportable to the State of Oklahoma and the USDA. One poster asked why she would sell to pet stores. I can only think that it is an easy outlet for the many non-show quality pups that are produced while trying to get the "perfect" pup. Maybe these pups' imperfections were serious enough that she couldn't sell them with her name attached to them, so they were sent to her "friends" the Silvermans, at a severely discounted rate. Who knows? Who would ever think that there is a group of people who actually researches these health certificates? Obviously she didn't. Anyway, I must move on to other things, I truly had no idea what a hornet's nest I would stir up with one post, I honestly had no idea this breeder was a big show person, I thought she was just another breeder from the Midwest selling pups to stores in our state. The truth is all I'm ever looking for....... |

The Document. [B] I just want to say that I personally have the document that Karen is talking about. It was scanned through WORD so this is why she is having trouble posting it. I am leaving for work but will try to save it as a picture and then attatch it here. Many of you know me and know that I am honest and that I work diligently in rescue and in trying to stop bad breeders. I am not sure how or why Glenda would get herself involved in any of this but I have to be honest and say that according to the document sent to me - it does show Glenda as the owner of the pups shipped and Puppy Love as the Consignee. Six dogs were shipped (one Pug and Five Yorkies all 11 weeks of age) According to the document it shows Glenda (owner of the dogs) as shipper and Puppy Love the destination and consigne. I have no vested interest in any of this and I do not know Karen or Glenda. Elaine B] |

I must say I am not SHOCKED,so many show breeders hide behind this, BUT I do wonder how many other pet shops Glenda supplies puppies to that documents are not public, that she thinks No one will ever know that she does this. Karenann,I hope you have opened up some eyes on this forum now and maybe some will be more careful before they post such harsh and negative statements about other breeders that they have NO information on, have not spoken to,and just go by looking at their website and deciding that these breeders are doing it wrong!!!! After all so many THOUGHT they really knew Glenda Beavers. Thank You for your time and your information. |
WELL, SO FAR NO ONE HAS POSTED ANY PROOF!! The web addy that was posted comes up as page not found. Can anybody post some concrete proof?????? And if you say that you have these "documents", how do any of us know that they were not doctored up??? I have yet to see any proof and this thread is getting to be just a tad slanderous. HHHMMMM, I wonder if this "investigation" has any links to PETA? |
