Kimberly King Portland, Or www.yorkiepassion.com Aggie was purchased around December of 2005. I had done alot of research on breeders in my area and never could find one that I was comfortable with. That is until I met Kimberley. She invited me over to her home to see all of her beautiful yorkies, and I was immediately impressed with the condition and care that they were in. I knew that she was the breeder for me. She encouraged me to come back as often as i wanted until my little guy was ready to come home with me. It was a great opportunity to bond with Aggie and learn as much about the breed as I could. She was very informative and knowlegable about the Yorkie breed, which in turn made me more comfortable when I was able to bring Aggie home. She encouraged us to come and visit as often as possible, which is something I took full advantage of!!! :D I loved Kimberely and her dogs so much that I just recently purchased another one from her, even after I realocated to Texas! I trust her and appreciate her quality. Her dogs are beautiful Yorkies and the sweetest ever. I will only use Kim when it comes to the purchase of another Yorkie. Infact I have planned on buying a little girl next year!!!! She has become an extended part of my family...a very welcoming one at that! :) :animal-pa :animal-pa :) |
need advice-need breeder need healthy doggie Does anyone know of any good breeders in the new york, new jersey, ct area? Although I have had 3 yorkies already, I can't believe that all of my research has led me to such a bad experience. I have just had a very sad run in. my new baby puppy is very ill and was sent to me under 2 pounds, and at 10 weeks old. He's really tiny and is not eating willingly. He got a cold because his immune system has been down and my family and i were giving him around the clock care for a week until i noticed that he had a sniffle. i brought him to the doctor and they told me that he had to stay there. They said he probably can't smell his food and that it is causing him not to eat. besides this, his sugar is very low and all of the food that we've been giving him, pedialyte, esbilac (sp?) and nutrical and karo were not helping him. Evidently it only lasts for 15 minutes and because he doesn't eat its harming him more than anything. I am sad because my breeder won't take my calls and they don't know what to do. I am pulling for him and I think that because he'll be so small, and delicate he'll need a healthy companion to keep him going. If you have advice on a breeder or have had this experience please let me know what to do. I am very very sad and have crying episodes every night he's been at the animal hospital. |
First, Welcome to Yorkie Talk! Quote:
I am so sorry you are having to go thru this with your new baby! I do not live in your area so I can't help you with a good breeder. I just wanted to tell you that we will all be pulling for your little guy! We sure hope and pray that he gets stronger and pulls thru this. You might want to post this on the Sick and Injured Thread as well. Some more experienced breeders might know more that you can do when your pup does come home from the vet. |
Texas TEXAS Jeaninne & Terry http://www.terrysterriers.com/index.html Bunny May 2005 and Bella April 20th, 2006 The 1st time I really didnt think much about it and thought my Bunny was cute and HAD to have her. But the breeder helped me out SOO much with my Bunny and even gave me pointers on Potty training her, after I already gotten her. She has helped me and answered SO many things for me when I got my Bunny. Thats why I went back to her. Then I got my bella who has a heart murmur and she gave me life time guaranty on her. So if she ever die from her heart at ANY age, I can put all the money I payed for my bella to another yorkie. I have never seen a breeder do that. I also asked her to send me pic of the parents (scents her webpage is blocked and cant copy them off there) so I can make a little scrap book for my Girls. She went out of her way and made ALL new pic for me. I love my Breeder!! |

1. Nancy Hoenig/ Cambridge, Ohio 2. 740-439-2932 3. May,25,2006 4. We were just looking in the paper on the internet and called a few people about a yorkie for my grandmother and no one sounded as sincere and devoted as her I mean we talked to someone off of her but her female wasn't old enough to go until 4 weeks later and I mean what could I've done taken my grandmother to see the dog and said this is yours but not for 4 more weeks!! The suspense would've killed her and me! She had me on the phone for an Hour and a half talkin about all her little furbabies! 5. Let's see where do I start..? I had called about 4 other people and I didn't go with them either because they sounded like a byb or their puppies were too young!! When I found her we talked and talked and talked some more and that's when I decided to buy from her... I woke up and it felt just like it was my dog just like when I got max anywho I got dressed and picked up my aunt and we were on a 4 hour long journey to yorkie heaven...when I got there i instantaneously fell in L-O-V-E She has a fenced little dog run with imagine 12 little Yorkies all females but one!! Then when I went inside I saw her littlest girl who is like 1 year and like 2lbs. anyways she explained to me that the dog was the runt of a litter and was only as big as her finger nail when born and she said that she hadn't sold her because she didn't want to sell someone a possibly sick dog so she got her fixed and kept her and man is she cute and rowdy but maybe that's just because there were some new people on her territory!! Then I looked around and saw that she had two huge frames of pictures of her Yorkies not to mention a I love Yorkies blanket and a Humungus book of all of her puppies and all of their new owner's contact information!! Then she took us up a few steps into the room where Molly and her 3 brothers had been stayin and right there was their mamma man was she pretty. She kept the new family in a metal gate type thing and inside of it was a bottom of a crate and inside of that was a Hot water bottle and on top of that was a blanked and outside of the pen was a heater so none of the dogs would get cold!! We sat afterwards and talked for a good 25-30 minutes inside and out it was the first time Molly had been outside and she loved it she went over and mingled with the other dogs and then Nancy held her!! You could tell that she was sad to see her go but on the other hand she knew that she was going to a great home and a more informed home because we already had max! I had a wonderful experience with her and was so pleased that the end of July I will be purchasing a little girl from her for myself this time! Here are some other things about her: She doesn't let the puppies leave the home until they are 8 weeks and she wants you to keep in contact with her and tell her about the pupppy which I personally don't think is that hard for the Small price we had to pay. Her females are usually 850 and her males are usually 650!! |
Karen Monterosso Colorado Springs, CO http://www.karensyorkies.com :Puppy2: I bought my first Yorkie from her and he was the best dog! We are buying two more puppies from her this week. Must say they have gone up in price since I last purchased one, but she is pretty serious about her dogs and takes very good care of them. The only thing that kind of bothers me about her is when I have asked to see the parents or even just ask about them she will not answer those questions. Everything else on she is great... She is AKC registered and state licensed. She also offers a 1 year health guarantee on the puppies too...:2puppy: |
I am so excited. I posted earlier about me getting another Yorkie from Jill Brooks here in Indiana. She is sooo adorable. We went to see her yesterday. If anyone is ever interested in getting a puppy close to Indiana. I highly recommend Jill. She has been go great. She has given us sooo much information. She has answered all our questions. She is great. I finally got to meet her in person and my new baby Emi. Wow, what can I say. Her place was wonderful. Her yorkies were so adorable and of great quality. Her babies are so clean and well kept. Just talking to her for close to an hr. I could see how much she cares for her puppies and the breed. I've been to alot of places before I got Parker and I can tell you this. She by far is the best breeder that I've seen. Alot of breeder that I went to had puppies and dogs running everywhere and looked of not so good quality. I'm so glad I found Jill. She let me bring Parker so I could see how he would interact with Emi. I was so proud of Parker he did a great job. I get Emi toward the end of the month and I cant wait. We got to see another Mommy.. Mazy and her new babies of a week or so. They were so cute. Of course we didnt touch, just looked. ps I was so mad I forgot my camera. I'm going back next week... I take pics. you can see my other post for pic of her |

This breeder is listed on the bad breeders website as producing liver shunts. Make sure to have your puppies bile acid tested, and that you get a health guarantee. don't know her personally, just what was on the website. Quote:

Did you get any great breeder ideas around Dallas, Texas??? I want a female puppy baby to replace my 2 who died in the past year. (not that they can be replaced in our hearts) Thanks Charlotte |
Breeder is Renotta Oliver/ Ohio yorkiecity1.com Got the puppy in 2002 and another a little over a year ago. I really like this breeder, she answered all my questions was very honest and upfront with me. We talked a long time while I was on the phone with her and then spent hours at her home with all her fur babies. I even visited twice to make sure. They all live inside and are not kenneled at all. I really liked that part as I think and this is my opinion that when they are kenneled they are not socialized very well at all. Over the years as questions arise to me I can call her and talk to her at any given time ( within reason ). If she doesn't have the answer she will find it out for me. She really cares for her fur babies and they are certainly a part of her and her husbands family. Several of them even sleep with them. They are all groomed and looking great everytime I have been there and sometimes I have just popped in on them. She certainly has healthy, happy and very beauitful dogs. I would recomend her to anyone looking to purchase a yorkie. She goes over all the risk of owning a yorkie, all health problems that could arise and what these little ones are prone to. I just thank the world of her and her husband. |

Ok here it goes.... I got Louie from a puppy mill cause I didnt know any different. So I will not give out their info. I then had a breeder here in town that had pups, and long story short that fell through. Then I heard about Sandi. So I gave her a call. I was looking for a certain size and color of pup. After talking with Sandi for a couple of hours I realized that I had to go and see this lil female. Then next day off I went. As soon as we pulled up we were greeted by about 5 yorkies. ( boy was I in heaven) They were all so damn cute and the color I had been looking for. The adults had stayed with the dark color instead of changing to the grey. She showed me the female that she had told me about over the phone. Omg, that was exactly what I was looking for. Her ears were allready up as well. ( huge plus) She showed me mom and dad. Dad was an inside dog. Actually the 5 that greeted us were her inside dogs. They all looked wonderful. She also had a spotless house. She was so knowledgeable, we talked for hours. If I ever am looking for another one, I'll def. go back. |
Anyone know Rhonda? In Kansas there is a breeder - www.rhondasnewyorkies.com. Anyone know her or of her? She says she is a state licensed breeder - AKC and APRI. I already know there's a feud about these - just want to know if anyone knows Rhonda or her dogs. |

Kimberly King Portland, Or www.yorkiepassion.com After we lost Cassie last November, we found Kim's site on the internet. If we was to get another little girl playmate yorkie for Baby Blessing we would definately hope it could or would be from Kim. She truely cares about the Yorkie breed, and she is such a caring person and so compassionate towards knowing and being sure her yorkies are placed in forever caring and loving homes. We have not met Kim in person but feel as though we have through our messages back and forth, thanks to Kim for her kind words and post to us after we lost our Cassie she knew the pain and agony of what we was going through and her kind words were so appreciated. I would highly recommend anyone that hasn't visited Kim's site to do so, her yorkies are beautiful and so is Kim as I am sure her Yorkies each reflect the personality of their Human Mommie :) Patti and Jack |
