I'm curious as to what happened in the past. YT is a great resource to Yorkie owners and I could not imagine ever leaving. Did someone tell you not to purchase your puppy from this breeder?

You ask a very good question and I have a not so clear cut answer, LOL!
By the time I came to YT I had already invested time, money, and most importantly my LOVE into this little guy...so I just wasn't able to make myself walk away, although, I had received advice to do so here on the site. (Looking back at it, I do regret that I went to her for my lifelong friend, but I am grateful I was able to come to his rescue and get him the vet care he desperately needed...not to mention the constant TLC!) What originally made me turn away was when I came to post for advice I was talked to in a very demeaning manner. I had began to have second thoughts on his breeder but when I pointed out some of the things she did that was shady to me, some YT'ers told me I was being too "dramatic and needy" among many other things. Considering what happened shortly after I do not feel that I was being dramatic nor needy about the situation. It became unbearable...even when I asked for the name calling to stop (I was basically called immature with out of order priorities) it continued at my expense. I am an adult like everyone else here and I did not like being demeaned in such a manner. I could walk up and slap that person in the face and they still wouldn't know it was me(MyLovelyNiko). We all "think" we know people here based off of a situation they post about or a question they answer but the truth is, we don't know! I could pretend to be a man, woman, boy, girl, young, old, black, white, gay, or straight and the list just goes on. I am behind a computer screen just like you are. So when I have another adult talk to me in a manner I wouldn't tolerate in person, and they probably wouldn't say in person...it hurts and angers me. We have enough cyber bullying going on without YT becoming another breeding ground for it. (No pun intended.) Speaking to me like a child isn't going to help the situation...regardless of whether or not a mistake/ bad decision was made or not. You kill people with kindness and love; that is what I have always been taught and so that is was I strive to do...sometimes I fail but God knows I try!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being passionate about a subject, however, the way to reach the masses, change minds, and educate the ignorant is with understanding words of wisdom. Not harsh ones!

So I decided to come back and hopefully not run into the same thing this go around. But, that is also the reason why I have tried to even be understanding towards his breeder of whom I have ill feelings toward. But she is still an adult and a human being....and we all deserve respect!

I think you did the right thing to post your experience. The only reason she emailed you is she is a greeder and she was worried your experience will cost her MONEY. Sad... not that she CARES about the puppies. Maybe you will save other people trouble and she will stop breeding! We can hope!

When I wrote this I hoped that my experience would save at least one person the trouble. Well, I am glad to report that it has and so I pray that more and more people began to research and see this all!

I hope she just retires... that might be wishful thinking. But at the very least I hope that she begins to test her breeding stock, maintain the cleanliness of her facility, raise the pups in home, and get them vaccinated and tested accordingly! Oh yea, AND CARE!!!
