i dont know what your comment to chipper is about or in reference too..or how you mean the question about celia whoever...but in reference to the puppy mill question..it looks like you are supplying them with dogs and then repo-ing them..ill be blunt

"been posting longer then she been around" not sure if thats directed at me or not..but ive been posting longer then you, if that really matters...some high school kids are brighter than 50 year olds adults..especially ones trying to pull the wool over peoples eyes

12 years doesnt make you an expert..or truthful in what ever business dealings you are trying out with these "bad breeders"..funny how 3 friends you gave dogs to for whatever reason are now unethical and you are taking them back..i can see it happening once but not 3 times..and of course you took it back when you said it about one of the breeders on here ...very very odd..very confusing...

And why do you need to teach somebody to be a breeder What you should have done was spay/neuter your dogs and rehomed them to good homes that you checked out.
Just because you have back problems does not mean you give away (or whatever the situation was) your precious dogs and teach somebody else how to breed them.
You say a puppymill is a puppymill and I say a backyard breeder is a backyard breeder.

I was just trying to expain. I got a dog from ceila. She did not buy a dog from me. The others as refered to were not puppy mills but very small breeders. I got 3 dogs back from them because they did not pay me for the dogs. Not because they were in a bad place. They just got mad at me and started a thread. Well one did breed a 6 lb female to a 15 lb male. That was wrong, and I did place her in a rescue. I had to, I rescue from here at TY. So what would you say I do at this point? Forget about the dogs left behind? the ones I did not own? I could not legally take those although I wanted to.It's in the hands of the state now and me telling everyone about her. Thats all I can do. No to your ?? I was not refering to you. I was a byb and so were all the breeders on my breeder friend page because they don't try to show their dogs. Although that was the reason I was breeding to go in show. This byb thing is not for you but the person who posted below you. There are really good byb out there too. There are no very good show breeders as well I have seen some of there kennels and I would not buy a dog there. No one here I might add. But anyway I just want to stop the abuse of her other babies. I am very glad that you are happy with your little one and that she is what you'd hoped for. I'm just curious though...given what you described as your experience with the breeder--the lack of paperwork, guarantee and not seeing the parents or property--what made you decide to get the dog anyway? I'm just curious as it seems this type of situation has come up quite a bit lately--someone descibes less than favorable cirumstances regarding a breeder, but they get the dog anyway. Given the things you have mentioned, I'm just curious as to what factors were there that made you feel comfortable enough to go ahead and buy the dog anyway.

Thank you so much. You are right you should always see the place where your puppy comes from and a health ganuntee is no good without the paperwork. I am gald she got a good puppy though. I am so glad I don't breed anymore. Woow I messed up big time thats for sure! But I did at least save my dogs. Thank goodness and they are fixed and in homes were no one can ever hurt them again. Tell everyone around here about making sure you see the parents and get all of your paperwork. Very impotant! If you can't drive that far find a breeder near you. Blessings to you.

i agreed to get the puppy via phone and email i viewed pics online and her website..been looking off and on for another female. also got a really great price i think
we agreed on a meeting area and time...which was supposed to be around 8 pm in my city...well needless to say i drove 2 hrs and didnt get her till midnight the lady got lost and i am not good driving areas i dont know back woods country (scared as crap..lol) my friend met me at one of the locations we agreed on and then loaned me her GPS for the next location because the breeder got lost again. Oh and my 5 year went with me on the "short drive" and he was so ready to go home. the breeder drove for somewhere around 6-7 hrs...the breeder's delivery fee was $350 and i told her i just wouldnt pay that and she came back with an offer " i couldn't refuse" and i really liked her over the phone and i said well bring her to me!! in person she was very nice as well . But when we met at midnight
i was tired, lost and just ready to be done when i finally met up with her. the puppy was/is absolutely gorgeous (avatar) and as we are exchanging money and paperwork and puppy she says she forgot the shot record and warranty papers..i said no worries ( i was tired and ready to be home which was another 2 hrs drive back) just mail them...when i called back about them i got the dates on the shots (which really surprised me ) and when i asked for the guarantee to be mailed it was like "WHY?" something wrong?..i was like no..and she was like well no worries just call me if something happens..so im guessing that might be something i will not get..but hopefully there will not be any health problems ..basically i got the puppy i really wanted...ended up being a frustrating process on the delivering...and just didnt push the issue on the paperwork..so i rated the experience as OK..i love the dog. i loved the parents. and i think the breeder was nice..just got fluster when leaving her location and then was maybe put off when i started asking for the guarantee..maybe things just got jumbled

I see. Thanks for answering. I was just curious Sounds like a very frustrating deal for you. Glad she is everything you'd hoped she would be. I have seen lots of people unhappy lately, it seems, that mention how horrible the breeder's home were, the parents, etc. So I'm left thinking to myself, "well why did you get the dog in the first place then?" I guess your situation is a bit different because in the end, you are happy with the dog you got.

im usually the kind that can walk away from a breeder that i feel is mis treating her pups or the parents arent right looking, dirty homes..but i didnt see any mistreating and i all i was thinking about at the time is BED ..lol let me re phrase that...get my puppy and got to bed lol

I am glad you got a good puppy. Did you get the name and number of the Vet the puppy was seen at so you could call? Most breeder give there on shots and dewormers. Just thought you might like to know that. They order them from revilival animal or jeffers pets and the wormer too. Sun Joes I think still does take her to the vets. They do their on tail docks and duke claws as well. Ceila and Donna @dazzling Taught me how to do that too.Does not mean they are not good shots they come in a cooler on ice to your home. Just hate to see you assume the puppy had been to the vet. I would make sure. Blessings

i believe the breeder did it herself but ill have to go back through her file to be sure..and i think she was seen by a vet prior to her listing again ill have to check her file.
i do my own shots as well ( too me thats the only way when breeding )...i would have vaccinated her again but reportedly she had had 4 by 10 weeks ..i just wont do it again i might give her another at the end of this month or i might wait for her 6 month check up.
if you read any of my post on the vaccinating i am pro vaccinater..lol 6 9 12 and 15 weeks old...but to be vaccinated 4 times before 10 weeks..too much!! i got the dewormer info in her file too..

Did you buy her for breeding?

It's good that you had an okay experience with your breeder, but I do think that it is very poor (and very bad sign) that she hasn't provided you with actual paperwork.

yes..i did
i have 1 akc male and 1 ckc female that i am retiring and i have an older mix breed that is a pet
not sure bella will mature to be large enough though still very small at 13 weeks..her roots are changing all over, very cute..

i will take her in for a 6 month check up and then again when she is older and see if 1. she is large enough ( i hope she gets to 6lbs anything under that i dont want to breed)
and 2 is she healthy..good knees, eyes so forth
