Donating YT 11K Club Member | Yes I actually got Livie from here and I am very happy with her She loves her dogs...she did not want to ship Livie-she doesn't ship Cargo at all..and I couldn't fly out to pick her up so she actually flew her in and flew back to SC-and I paid for the flight. We met-She's very nice and sweet!

| I would not base the size a breeder's females as a deciding factor. I know many breeders who have 4-5 lb females who are free whelpers and have no issues. Now 2 and 3 lb females, I can see that being an issue, but it really depends on the structure of a 4 lber.

| You will find that reputable breeders do not breed under 5#'s and most of us on YT believe this.

| I respect your opinion, I just don't agree. It was not long ago that Yorkies were 10-15 lb dogs, and now it is "accepted" to breed a 5 lber. I DO agree that there are more risks the smaller you go, however, I feel that is a personal choice that should be made by the breeder. I personally put more concern into the care that the dogs receive, the condition and health of the puppies, and the facilities of a breeder. It has not steered me wrong yet.

| She has a 3 1/2 lber she is excited about breeding this summer, Mercedes. Yikes, that seems way too small to have puppies. |

Donating YT 11K Club Member | She actually does not breed that small. On her site she has the dams listed as their weights but that was their weights when they were pups..she waits until they are big enough. I know Livie's mom was 4 lbs, 11 oz-almost 5 lbs and if they have a problem having pups she won't breed them again. It really depends on the body type of the dog-the dog may be 4 lbs but look bigger than a dog that's 5 lbs. vise versa

| Isn't that kind of missleading if that is the case, basically posting that the mom is a smaller size to promote that her pups should be small? Either way, I am not a breeder nor would I want to be but I do enjoy this site and all the info it has given me. I was just going by the info that she has posted on her page. If in fact that is not the case then good. |

Donating YT 11K Club Member | I don't know if it's misleading but I do know that I've spoken to her and she was telling me about one of the moms she wanted to breed but was making sure she got big enough first. She said if she didn't she won't breed her. She does really care about her Yorkies though, that I do know. Livie is so well socialized, with an amazing personality.

| Her dogs are absolutely precious, but I personally wouldn't buy from her. She might care about her dogs VERY much, but the fact that I see nothing on her site about showing, or atleast health testing turns me away instantly. |

| Health testing may not be on her website.....although her contract/guarantee is very vague. The fact she breeds under 5lbs is enough for me!

| Isn't Twila a YT member???? I would purchase from her. One thing that stood out to me is she only breeds/raises yorkies. No morkies, shorkies, schnorkies or chorkies. Not 50 other small breed dogs either. The other thing I noticed is her hands in the pictures look older, so I tend to think that she is more responsible. Okay, maybe I've seen one too many episodes of CSI.... LOL

| Hello!!! I am the owner of Daisy Field Kennel. First of all I never breed my babies without my Vet checking and giving me the go ahead. My females are on the smaller side but they are very healthy. I do no vet work myself I leave that up to the pros. who know best. My Vet does all my shots dew claws and tails and checks my babies at least 4 times before I place my puppies. I do love my Yorkies very much. I love to see my new owners with thier babies the smile tells it all, that to me is very rewarding to us.I do not show my babies that is just not for me. I have nothing against it its just not for me. I welcome anyone to come see where and how my dogs are kept. And you are right I am on the older side and I only breed Yorkshire Terriers. |
