| When to allow visitors.... My Yorkie just had puppies on Friday. I have people contacting me about the puppies and want to know when they can come see them. I have been telling them no sooner than 6 weeks when they get their shots, they don't seem to like that answer though. I am worried about the puppies picking up something from people handling them. Please give me your advice! Thanks! |

| I wouldn't either. When they do start coming to see the puppies, make them leave their shoes outside. Parvo can be picked up on shoes and brought into the home. Nasty stuff that Parvo!! |

| I don't allow visitors until after my angels have had their first set of shots. If they don't like that answer tell them it is your vets recommendation, that should take the heat off of you. Visitors any earlier puts stress on the dam as well.

its best to wait until their 8 weeks for the first set of shots, they do no good until then and will require a set of 4 instead of 3 shots.

| Thanks! Thanks for everyone's replies. I just want to make sure I'm not being mean about this. I am concerned about my puppie's health so if they don't like it then oh well! I will ask my vet when we got get tails docked on Tuesday about it as well to see what he thinks. Pam |
