| Question concerning my male puppies... Hi all, Went showing this weekend with my two males that Koko had. They are now six months old. Choc took BOW the first day and Moke was dq'ed because the judge could only feel one testicle. I pulled him down and checked myself and sure enough only one hanging. I had never checked myself because the vet had confirmed on three occasions that both were there. I can feel the other up there, it just hasn't dropped. Anyway the second day, the next judge felt the one hanging and the other that's pulled up and Moke went on to win BOB picking up his first major over four other champs (surprised the heck out of me...a puppy over four coated adults). My questions are, in your opinions 1. how long before I have to worry about that other one dropping? 2. judge said I should be massaging it and gently nudging it downward. As much as I don't look forward to doing that, I will. Another told me that is the worst thing I can do. Which is best? 3. I was also told that male dogs can pull them back up into their abdomen if they get overly excited. Friday evening Mocha and his dad got into a small fight for about two seconds before I could split them apart. Mocha got the worst end of it cause he was really yelping. Could this have caused that? Thanks for your opinions and sharing your experiences. Aloha |

| I have a boy who didn't drop his first until 14 months and his second until 18 months. From what I understand, it can take longer and non-descending is more common with the smaller males. (Our male is only about 3 pounds, sooo.) Chin up...all hope is not lost. |
