| Finding Toby's breeder I have Toby's pedigree at home and I was wondering how I can find his breeder. He came from Florida up to Winnipeg, Canada. The lady I got him from has since left town. Since he is turning 16 in October I wanted to find the breeder. Is it wise to put up a picture of his pedigree? We are having a huge party for him on October 7th! Derek |

| Don't put up the AKC papers. There's registrations numbers on them that in the wrong hands could use a lot of trouble.

| Have you tried contacting AKC. They can be a lot of help if you have information on the sire and dam and numbers. Good luck!

| names? The name on the pedigree is Judy Kaufmann & F A Kaufmann. Funny names of dogs on here. I was told that Toby's grandfather was a world champion and is in a book called Book of the Yorkshire Terrier by Joan Brearley, so I'm told but I've never purchased the book. The sire's names are Faja's and the grandparents are Kaacey's. Do any of these names ring a bell? |

| Thanks for the post. This breeder is from Florida. I'm sure I'll find them. I am going to contact the AKC, from a post earlier suggesting I do so. I'm still looking! |

| Apparently I can't ask the AKC: In the past, I bought an AKC dog from a breeder. How can I find the contact information for my breeder? I want to contact a specific breeder. Can you give me their phone number or address? Answer: The AKC is unable to release this information to you, pursuant to the AKC Board of Director’s Disclosure of Information Policy. AKC does not disclose information from its registration records or from its correspondence files without “the express permission of the principals or due process of law.” This would include revealing the names and addresses of the owners of dogs or information on an individual's dogs or litters. The AKC Board of Director’s Disclosure of Information Policy is available for review on the AKC website at http://www.akc.org/rules/policymanual.cfm. If you are interested in purchasing a dog of a particular breed, the easiest and most convenient way to find the right dog is through the AKC website - www.akc.org. The site offers potential puppy buyers access to a wealth of information on buying a dog, selecting a breeder, and dog care. The best way to ensure a long and happy relationship with a purebred dog is to purchase from a responsible breeder. While the AKC does not license, endorse, or recommend breeders, we do provide a step-by-step procedure that will lead you to the breed of dog best suited for you and a breeder in your area. |

| After some kind people on here that pm'd me a member that had a Faja's Yorkie. I was in contact with her and I received Judy Kaufmann's phone number. She is no longer in business but I get to talk to her tonight. Thanks for all the help everyone. I am still looking for a person that has or had a Kaacey's Yorkie and would know how to get a hold of Casey Lynn. |
