Thanks for the compliments and yes too bad he is sold. |
I believe any ethical breeder will only breed to better the breed and protect it. That's my 2 cents tonight. :aimeeyork |

purposely breeding for chocs and tinies I thought that responsible ethical breeders bred to improve the breed and only bred towards the AKC standard.?? I dont believe the AKC standard says anything about chocolates, parties, white. I have been "in" Yorkies over 25 years and none of the AKC papers ever had 21 colors to choose from. Maybe you are talking about the 1800s?? I would love to have a copy so I could put it in my scrap-book.LOL So, evidentally, ALL of the puppies you produce are breeder quality and sold on full registration, hence the big prices on them. So, if you did sell them with limited registration, would your prices be the same and could you sell them as fast?? Most "show" breeders that I know dont sell their best representatives of the breed for the price you ask. Maybe the words "tiny", "chocolate", "full registration" and "100 champions in pedigree" do the trick. Wonder how many generations that pedigree is? Well, that jsut my opinion. And to the person who said this thread is 15 pages, are you the thread police?? |

Wow - I'd like to hear all those colors. I have NEVER heard of even close to that many colors for a yorkshire terrier. |

I love your site.. all the dogs are so cute.. I love the first pic "Sophie's male puppy" its ears are so cute they remind me of Abby's when she was 6 or 7 weeks old :p |
"Most "show" breeders that I know dont sell their best representatives of the breed for the price you ask. " I was about to say something to the same effect. And I think you hit the nail on the head regarding what brings in the clientelle on such a big ticketed pup. |
I can't click on anything on the website??? everytime i try to click on one of the buttons it deos nothing??? |
maybe try restarting? when i go in it works.... |

AKC Yorkie colors 1 Attachment(s) here it is |
I noticed this said 'misc class' is this before they were accepted as a toy breed?? Probably at that time there was no set standard. I'll have to look again I think I noticed this was dated March but I don't think there was a year. I'll have to check when the Yorkshire Terrier was accepted in the American Kennel Club. I'm confused so pls correct me on this misc class if you think it is something different. |
Looks like it was dated 3-15-93? Says Misc class: N |
too late to edit, I should have said " the standard was not set as it is today. of course it has changed through the years but today we breed according to the breed standard today. |
Yeah, it says N next to Misc. Class and it's dated in 93. Huh. Now I see just why it is that so many fanciers of the breed pushed to have the standard better specified and reigned in. |
