Help PLEASE, Life and Death Situation????

One of my puppies is sick He is acting different, I recently started substituting with baby cereal and goat's milk and water because Tinkerbell is not feeding them as much, and today as I was making breakfast one of the puppies kept on crying, at first I thought it was because he couldn't find Tinkerbell but when I put him next to her, he just laid there very unresponsible and he kind of got on his back with his tongue sticking half way out and shaking (seizure?? ) I picked him up and he was very limp and his tummy feels very hard, so I call the vet but before taking him in, I tried to stimulate him so he could go poo, and also gave him some puppy nutri-cal, OMG I am so sad, I took him in to see the vet and they tried the same but he still didn't poo, they prescirbed some LACTULOSE to make him go poo. He said he feels very constipated, they also did a stool check. What should I do?? He whines once in a while like he is in pain I hope he gets better, he said to let him nurse from momma and just give him some formula watered down if mommy is not feeding them so much Please someone help

I am so sorry about your little puppy! I sure hope he gets feeling better soon. Could he have gas?? sometimes this happens with puppies and you can give them Mylicon drops. You can get them in the medicine aisle at Walmart or other drug store. They are used a lot for babies.

How old is the pup? You vet feels like this may be just constipation too?

Try laying him on his back, inbetween your legs and moving his back legs in a circular motion - similar to how you would play with a baby's legs. That might help move the gas and/or stool he needs to pass. Golly, I sure hope he's okay.

The Nutrical should help if you give it time. You may also want to try a warm water enema....but again, your vet, having seen the pup in person, probably has advised you how to best handle the situation. Good luck!

My vet recommended a warm, soapy enema, using a bulb syringe. I guess a syringe could be used but insertion was easy I found, don't forget to lube. Don't use too much if you do it. You don't want to get air in him either. It definitely helped mine.

If he's gassy Mylicone drops are good. Massage his belly also.

Sometimes the introduction of any type of food causes a problem with some pups.... it sounds like your pup had a seizure.... I'd keep a close eye on him.

He did nurse from Tinkerbell after we got back, but he keeps whining like he is in some type of discomfort I messaged his belly and gave him the medication the vet gave me, he still hasn't poo

Yeah, they were all doing so good, and Tinkerbell has been such a good mommy but she is trying to wean them off and I think the food made his tummy upset, he doesn't look so good, Dr. Murray said to keep an eye on him, because he might've had a seizure The other 2 are still doing good, but he still hasn't gone potty. I hope he doesn't die, because it will kill me I would be so sad

Have you tried the ennema yet? Sometimes if you just put a little mineral oil on a thermometer and insert it like you were taking his temp it will get things started. Try a nice warm damp compress on his tummy and massage it, too.
