| Pregnancy ?'s... Diva will be about 4 weeks prego Saturday. She is not eating that much. What should I feed her. She ate a little of her food yesterday when I fed it to her by hand but I don't think she's eating as much as she should be. Any advice? I've also tried giving her some of my new girl Foxxy's puppy food but she still won't eat enough of that. What size puppies do you think she will have considering she's 6.5lbs and the male is 4.5lbs. I just want to be sure they won't be too big for her? Also, being her size, will she have at least 3 pups? She should be set to deliver the 1st or 2nd week in Oct so I'm anxiously waiting... Thanks for your input.... Yolanda Mommy to: Diva 1yr 4mths & Foxxy 18 weeks |

| You really don't have to change their diet until the last two to three weeks of their pregnancy.... then switch to a good quality puppy food. The size of your girl does not determine how many pups she will have... although the bigger they are the more likely they are to have MORE pups. It all depends on whether the mating took place at the appropriate time and how many "eggs are in her basket" (if you get my drift). All the best to you. I also have pups due the end of September and another litter the middle of October.

| Diva is 1 years old, 4 mths. She tries to eat some of my cat's food and I have to shoo her away. I even tried giving her one of her favorite treats the last couple of days and she turned her nose up to that as well. (sig)..that's when I knew she just didn't want to eat. Last night she still didn't eat at feeding...but right before bedtime she ate a couple of her little chix treats..... Thanks for your input though. I will try to continue encouraging her to eat! | My female did the same thing. She did not like the puppy food that I bought for her. So she started eating the cat food. Scared that this was bad for her I boiled some chicken and have been feeding that to her. Last night I tried another puppy food and she seems to like that one much better. So you can try that or just another type of puppy food. Just make sure that she is eating something. Good luck.

| I feel your frustration about trying to get them to eat when they are pg. I struggled with Bailey the whole time she was pregnant and after the pups were born too. I tried everything and got to the point that I fed her what ever I could get her to eat just so she was eating something. Now she is so spoiled she wont eat her dog food and neither will any of the other dogs because they got spoiled and got to eat whatever I bought for Bailey to try and eat. |

| My Yorkie is pregnant!!!! My Yorkie is abou 4wks pregnant too! She weighed 4.5 before she got pregnant. The stud dog was 3.8lbs. I have three Yorkies, Gypsy, Prince and Paris. I also have a Chihuahua named Fajita. I hate cross breeding of them trying to make them fashion items which their not. Gypsy is the pregnant one. |

| Gypsy My dog, Gypsy is bleeding. I'm very worried, she was crying in the middle of the night so I woke up and took her outside 'cause I thought she had to pee. So, I took her out and she did pee and all this blood came gushing out. As soon as the vet opens I'm going to call them so they can see her right away, I think she might have had a miscarrige. This is her first litter, she's only a year and a half. She didn't go into heat until she was ten months old. She is my problamatic child. Paris, my other female Yorkie was early. She came into heat at five months old. I had to keep her separated from my male Yorkie Prince and my male Chihuahua Fajita. Paris has had three litters. Her first was 3 years ago on November 13th 2004, she gave birth to three puppies, two males 1 female. Her second were Chihuahua/Yorkies, she was willing to mate when I was away. They were very cute, they were born on June 21st 2005. Her latest litter was born on October 31st 2006. Her lastest litter was champion sired, so I sold them for $900 a pup. There were 3 males 3 females. The York-Chis were sold for $150 a pup, we only made $300 since there were only two dogs a male and a female. Her first litter was sired by Prince and we sold them for $450 a pup. I never charge more for a female dog, although more people want female puppies more then males. Gypsy is (was) due October 23rd. Her pups will be purebred, I bred her with my cousin's male Yorkie, Pepsi. There are (were) five pups due, we had an ultrasound done. I will most likely sell them for $500 a pup. All my dogs are AKC registerd, I only breed them with AKC registerd dogs. Before I sell my dogs to people, they sign a contract and a questionaire about their home/family/lifestyle. I also check out their house first. And when choosing a pup, I ask that all the family members and dogs in the home be present. I really don't care about the $ that I make, I care about the dogs. I have been breeding Yorkies for 10 years. My all-time favorite pup, Shay, went to my best friend. I wouldn't sell her to anyone but friends and family. I grew up with two dogs, Tinkerbell and Austin, a Yorkie and a Silky. As soon as I moved out of my parents house, I bought my very own Yorkie, Paris who is five. My second dog was Fajita who's four. Prince is my third who's 2 1/2 and finally Gypsy, who's my fourth and a year and a half. Their birthdays: Paris, January 9th 2002. Fajita, April 14th 2003. Prince, December 27th 2005. Gypsy, June 1st 2006. Paris's puppies names(litter 1) Spike, Jake and Stacey. (litter 2) Chi-Chi and Selena. (litter 3) Shay,Sam,Tinkerbell,Princess,Mark and Jazz. I get pictures of them all daily. Shay lives 2 blocks over, I see her everyday, her and Paris play. I also see Princess and Spike daily. Lets hope Gypsy and her litter are ok..... |
