| How much to feed mommy? Zowie weighed in at the vet 8.3 on Wednesday. She had diarrhea for 4 days (like choc. milk). She is fine now, solid since yesterday morn. I fed her 2 cans of Hill's prescription diet from the vet today (one yesterday). The five puppies are about 7 pounds together. They will be 4 weeks old on Sunday. Before she got sick, I was feeding her two 5.5 oz cans of Nutro puppy, 4 tbl cottage cheese, 3 tbl goat milk. Now I am thinking she should be eating more? I keep down dry food Nutro Ultra puppy all the time. She has 1 can (15 oz) of Hills for tomorrow morning (I feed her 1/2 at a time-she eats like she is starving). She eats very little of the dry. I just wonder if I am feeding her ok, too much, too little? Any help is appreciated.

| I suggest all the wet food you are giving her you need to mix some of the dry in with it and cut the wet food in half each meal, Its important that she gets her dry food. The goats milk is best served alone and only after she has eaten her other meal, my dogs love it and would fill up on the goats milk not eating their regular food. How old are the pups? are they still nursing ?

| The pups are 4 weeks yesterday. They are nursing, but they want to eat her dry food. It is actually causing her to eat it all so they can't have any. Maybe that's good? I am thinking I should soften some for them, but I would have to lock her out of the cage.

| are you weaning them now? I would start them on feeding now as well as let them nurse.. give babies quality dry puppy food 24-7 feed and water 3-4 times a day the same dry puppy food wet down with either goats milk or water warm in the micro for a few minutes then mash it up completely until mush. They will love it, mom will then help you start weaning staying less and less with them, I wean completely by 5-5.5 weeks old
