Well meiah went into labor about 10:13pm Sunday night, her water broke around 1:30 and then I was getting nervous. Then I posted this thread.

I paged my vet TWICE and he never called me back. I even left two detailed messages. They have called me 4 times today and I am just so mad I didn't take any of the calls.

I ended up going to a 24 hour ER thats about one hour from me. We left at my last post on here (3AM I think???? don't remember) and then didn't get home until 1pm today. We had to leave Meiah.

She ended up having 1 boy on her own around 7am ish but then the other pup never came but was in line and right there by the xray. She was pushing and we did get a bubble but she was just worn out. So around noon today (13 hours later) they took her for a c section.

I just knew the baby would be dead. How could it survive that long???? But when I called they said she was fine! I'm calling her Miracle (well just because she is, but I can't keep her) And the Boy I'm calling Mikey. (not keeping him, he just looks like a Mikey

) So they are Meiah's Mikey and Miracle.

Meiah is now retired. I was going to have them spay her but they wanted me to pay $500

So we have to wait for that, but my babies days of having babies are over.

Hopefully I'll get some sleep soon, but I'm keeping an eye on Mikey, he seems weaker than the girl who was in there the 13 hours! She's pretty strong!

He weighs 4 oz and she weighs 4 1/2 oz.

What a crazy, crazy last 30 some hours I've had.

All of our best to you Brenda, that's great that two survived. Sorry about the one you lossed. So glad Meiah is okay! I know you're so physically and emotionally drained right now but do try to get some rest.

Thanks so much. I'm on such a high now and watching those babies and getting them latched on, who knows when I'll sleep!!!! But there were only 2 babies. The one that was in there the whole time made it thru the c section!!!! I just couldn't beleive it!!!!! That was a very long time and I was shocked they waited it out.

Meiah is pretty out of it, the poor baby. But she's being a good mommy.

And oh yes I am so physically and emotionally drained right now for sure!!!!!!

Well It looks like we have a happy ending after all. I am so glad the Mom and the pups are OK that is a miracle.
