| Yes, as long as mommy doesn't get too stressed out...most yorkies love water. How far along is she? I think up to a week away is ok...maybe someone w/more experience will answer. I gave Mimi a bath a week before she delivered, she was fine.

| Yes, just avoid extremes. Don't use too hot of water and don't let her get too cold. I don't have mine soaking in water. Just wet them, shampoo, rinse, condition, rinse, rinse, rinse, blow dry. You want her clean for the big day!

| I don't know if you've bathed her yet, but if you put a towel in the dryer on medium heat for about 15 minutes (while she's being bathed) then she won't get a chill afterward. I use the laundry sink at my house, it's out in the garage (no a/c, so nice and warm) and the dryer is right next to the sink, luckily Good luck with the whelping!!!

| It is ok to bath her. Just make sure she doesn't get cold when drying. I like the idea of putting the towel in the dryer before using it. It sound so cozy! |

| Of course you can. I bathe my girls as soon as their temp drops with a medicated shampoo, but make sure you rinse thoroughly. About a week before whelping, clip around abdomen around all the nipples. Make sure her nails are clipped short so she doesn't tear them when nesting.

| Okay.. When I saw this, my question is - if you are asking this simple question are you sure you are ready to help her have her babies. Not to be mean, just want to make sure you are ready. Yorkies do not normally have their pups on their own. Have you read up on how to birth puppies? Just be sure you have. You do not want to wait till the last minute and have a problem arise and then be on here for help. Prepare yourself now. T. |
