I recently wrote and said that my female who was in heat two months ago seems like she is in heat again. Well, she has become very interested in Bell's puppies and is actually in with the puppies more then Bell is. I bent down to rub her bell and noticed that she seemed to have full milk ducts??

I looked a bit closer and she actually has milk???? I'm very confused? Has anyone ever experienced anything like this?

Thinking that maybe she was pregnant and some how I missed something I felt around and I feel nothing!

sounds like she is having a false pregnancy..

I think she just wants to be a mom so bad. Last week she was mounting my male and then putting her butt in his face! He wasn't interested at all!

Most female animals can produce milk without having a pregnancy at all. Lucky pups to have all the milk they want.

My puppies are getting so fat, I was wondering why they seemed so big at only 2+ weeks. Now I know why? Born at 3.4 and 4 oz they are now 17 days and weigh almost a pound already???

I have a mother and daughter and when the daughter had her first litter her mother produced milk and would get in the pen and feed the babies. Like yorkidaze said most female can produce milk when another female is tending to a litter and someitmes when 1 female is in heat it can throw another female into heat.

That is exactly how my girls are (mother and daughter) one comes into heat and within a week the next one does.

But this is new to me about the milk thing,

Oh Karen that is too much!! I can't believe that they weigh almost a pound already, but you should see my first born. She started at 6.2 and last night was 10.2 oz. What a porker!! I am so glad yours are doing so well. They had such a rough start, and thanks to you they are so healthy now.
