| ![]() Around the 2 wk mark mine sometimes throw up and go off their food. ( like morning sickness) Mine have never leaked urine unless they are just about due , or don't start to nest until about 2 days before. Not early on like your dog is. I also would have her urine checked and I think the soonest you can have a ultrasound done to check for babies is 25 days. Let us know what the vets says. |

| ![]() Just got back from the vet. She did have a UTI, She is on antibotics for the next 2 weeks. I asked about the UTI and her babies, he said it would not effect her babies. The antibotics she is on is for pregnant dogs and that She will be over the UTI before she is even showing. He weighed her and she has gained 1.3 lbs since the last office visit. He said they cant check her for pregnancy since it has only been 3 weeks but, she has a follow up appointment for the UTI in 2 weeks and he said he would bet that she is pregnant since she is gaining weight. I thank all of you for your input. I am glad that I took your advice and took her to the vet. Thank you so much. I will let you know in 2 weeks what is going on. |

| ![]() I just caught this thread, I'm so glad you took her to the vet. Best of luck with her regarding her possible pregnancy. FYI, there is a test, Relaxin. It's a blood test and pretty expensive. It detects the hormone relaxin, used about 25 days after fertilization. I don't know how many vets do them. They can be used to diagnose false pregnancy of course. | ![]() It's funny that you recommended that test because that is what he wants to do when she goes back in 2 weeks. It's about $ 76.00 which includes that office visit and the checkup from the UTI that she had. Do you think that is too much ? This vet is very good with her and she seems to like him alot. It's funny because when I made the appointment she was suppose to be seen by the female vet, But she had an emergency and was not there. I tol dhim what the vet she use to have in the next town about needing a c-section because she is a Yorkie, He said that is rediculous, He said a c-section is a last resort. He has been doing this for several years and have only had to do 3 c-sections ! I like him already ! I would bet everything that she is pregnant. WHy she is hording her treats and making her bed over and over again. Bets me ![]() |

| ![]() You're vet sounds like a good one (the one who uses c-sections as a last resort). $79 is about the average at the vets office I'd imagine. If it's worth it to you, I'd certainly get it done. I know what it's like waiting on the first litter. The vet can palpate the puppies and estimate how many around 27-35 days. |

| ![]() Yes it is worth it to me. I really dont care how much her visits costs as long as she is o.k. and the puppies are o.k. I will have him do the test on the 5th when she goes back and let everyone know. She has stopped eating as much, she only nibbles now, should I be concerned about her lack of wanting to eat. |

| ![]() Huh, I took my daughters Yorkie in to our Vets for a PG test. They said they have to be 30 days from the time they tied or possible tie. The Vet said the PG test was 98% accurate. So far in their office it has been right on.

| ![]() Hi Everyone, Just got back from her PG appt. SHE IS PREGNANT !!!!!! I go back in 20 days to find out how many!!! I am so excited........ I will keep you in touch. thank you so much for all the help. As far as the last reply. I had a feeling that Suki was pregnant soon after they tied. Her presonality changed a little she was more demanding for attention. She kind of pushed Maitai away as far as wanting to tie again. The vet told me that she knows when she is pregnant and will let the male know not to try again. I think he was right. You will know yourself, you just have a feeling, She acts different, suki wanted to sleep more than she usually does, she was always active and that didnt change but her food preference did. |

| ![]() Some of the early signs of pregnancy are retained swelling of the vulva, swelling or firmness of the teats, sometimes morning sickness, and a slight increase in neediness. Of course all gals are different and may exhibit variations of these signs.
