| What age can males breed? I'm not a breeder and have no intention of breeding, but I'd like to know what age is good for a male to begin breeding. I've read 9 mos. is a good age, but I've also heard it's better to wait until after a year. Like I said, not intending on breeding, wouldn't even know where to begin. I'll leave that to the experts! Just curious, as was talking to a friend about it and we both wondered. Thanks in advance. |

| they can breed as young as 7 months but normally they do not know what they are doing until about 1 1/2 yrs of age. the sperm is then mature. you may see them hump but that is no indication they know what to do.
