| My female is in heat , but no blood! My 2 yr old female started her heat cycle but there is no blood, I have checked every day and nothing .....her vulva is swollen . I'm just curious if any of you have had females like this, I have been breeding for 10 yrs. and never seen anything like this . I did a search here about it and there is a thread that reads "Silent Heat" from 2005 . I have my other girl that keep herself very clean but you can still see blood if you wipe her with a white tissue , I have try with this other one and I cannot believe it but there is nothing .....she is already standing for my male at this time. She is a very healthy girl and my vet is not familiar with these situation. Can she be this lucky? no messy periods? i would like to know how common or uncommon is this? I never heard of "Silent Heat" before . |

| My Champion Desi does this , in fact she presented me with a surprise litter once because of it. She is in heat now , no blood and standing and wanting to be bred. There is no for sure rule, but it is a lot cleaner. I do not know how common this is, but I am sure they are not the only ones..... |
