I bought Bonjowi 2 months ago. She had advertised him at 3.5lb and promised me that is what he weighed. Loandbehold.....HE WAS! I could not believe it! He is also the most adorable and loving little guy! Absolutely precious. Maybe, just maybe, I got lucky but either way he was just what she said he was and more. I hate when anyone has a problem with a new puppy, hope all works out! Snow White and Bonjovi's mommy |
If you send her back she will only be sold again and the stress on her has to be 10 times the stress on you. Think about her. Maybe YOU are the Angel SHE needed. SW |
BTW 6mo is a puppy so it is supposed to have puppy teeth. Adult teeth do not come in till much later. AND...sometimes the puppy teeth have to be removed by a vet if not out by 1 yr. If she were 3mo she would only have "spikey like" teeth. I hope all is well what ever you do. |

EXACTLY MY THOUGHTS!!!!! |

{A puppy I've been sleeping on the floor with to make her nights easier???} I couldn't send her back. She's obviously already bonded with you. You are her support, her MOMMY. Sometimes these tinys seem younger that they are. I have a litter now that 1 is 1/3 smaller than the others. 3 are 14oz and the tiny is 4oz and they are 5 wks old. He looks like he is 3 wks old. If your baby was 3 mo (thats 12 wks), at that size I doubt it would be that spunky and healthy after a flight. It most likely would have gone "down". Give her some love and name her miricle and just keep her. |

I have to ask....ANYONE..... Why would a breeder especially one that guarantees the pup sell one so much younger than they say it is? I think most vets go by the standards of ALL dogs. Yorkies are not by any means standard. They are their own breed. Their heats are not standard, their hearts are not standard and lord knows between a 2# adult and a 10# adult they are going to mature at much different speeds. I don't REALLY know the lady in person but give her a break in the age thing. I doubt she was lieing but the pup is just a TINY and seems younger. Maybe she was wrong in shipping such a tiny but that seems to be what ALL ARE WANTING. Just be glad she lived and keep on loving her. |

Why the heck is that present at the top of my post lol |
LOL on the present :D I don't know why she left either. I think she over-reacted to the posts but maybe she'll change her mind. Maybe she thinks the puppy will be bigger than what she wanted and that's happened to many of us.....Personally... I never looked for size when trying to find my girls - I wanted Healthy & happy above all else. We all have our priorities I guess. |

I agree with you and Misty, especially with her already having a tiny. I'm sure size factors in. Healthwise, I'd be leary of such a tiny one. Although there are many healthy ones on YT, there are many sick ones too. |
ps..I should elaborate on my above post...when I said I looked for happy and healthy - I found that in Chanel.... but it didn't prevent her from coming down with coccidia - my BREEDERS fault. I also felt taken advantage of but had Chanel been a tiny she probably wouldn't have survived it....:( I guess if I had a wish for puppies it would be that people not be so obsessed over size and try to stay within standard weights if possible...the breeders in it for the money are going smaller and smaller due to our obsession with size and it's the breed that suffers in the long run. don't get me wrong - I LOVE tinies !!! I just wish it wasn't always the first thing people look for |

When a person tells me they WANT it to be tiny or it HAS TO BE TINY and they are sooo adament about it, I wont sell to them even if I believe I have one. I also tell them if they loved their baby it would not matter the size or color it becomes after getting it. I can understand LOOKING for the size and color as well as sex but not to be so demanding of it. Just as I see "Teacup" in ads I also see "pup will get no bigger than *". This iritates the heck out of me also. Even a tiny can get a growth spurt and get 5# or 6#. A 3# 12 wks pup can become a 3# adult...gave my sister one. How many times do we read "My pup got bigger than the breeder said it would" or "got bigger than it was supposed to". I tried the "formula" and just like I said before "Yorkies are not standard". I hope she comes back and reads this before sending her back. |
It says no longer a member under her name so she has left the forum |
I don't think it's fair to say someone shouldn't WANT a tiny dog or a certain color. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and to buy what they want. Bottom line is she was DECEIVED and LIED to by this "breeder" (and I use that term lightly because this woman, in my opinion, is nothing short of a LIAR and has no business breeding or selling pups). She has every right to be angry and upset. I feel bad for the pup too but it is not makemepretty's fault that she was lied to and she should not feel like she has to keep a puppy that was not what she originally wanted. Whether it be size or color or age, it wasn't what she agreed to and originally wanted. I just checked her profile and it says she is no longer a member. I feel bad that she felt like she was run off of YT. I'm not blaming anyone because what she did was her own decision but we need to remember that there are real feelings behind the computer and these usernames. Ok, I'm stepping down off my soap box now lol PS - It was also very wrong for her to call V heartless. ANYONE that knows V knows that she is extremely kind hearted. |

In the bigger scope of things - if someone has a healthy VERY Small yorkie - then what exactly is the problem if they aren't exactly the weight you expected ? No breeder can guess weights that well - they can be in the ballpark - but it IS a guessing game. I know I bonded in less than 24 hours with Chanel...I had no idea what her weight would be and could have cared less. I agree if that breeder lied to her she has every right to be upset but she did say how tiny this puppy was and that IS what she was looking for - so why send her back ??? I really hope she keeps her but it's her choice I guess.... I just don't think she should have been upset at anyone here - we were trying to HELP.. She misread my first post to her and it just went downhill from there - but no one said anything so bad that she had to leave over it...:( I hope she changes her mind....she may have been just emotional that day. |
