| Well some bad news on the second day I lost another one of my babies. That just leaves one she is doing great though. I had put my female on cephelexin antiboitics because of the puppy that died inside her to protect her from getting an infection. I was told to do thid by another breeder but what she didn't tell me( she didn't know this) was that that anitibiotic is not to be given to nurseing mothers. It causes all kinds of problems as it builds up in the mothers milk. The second puppy was the biggest one and nursed more than the one I have left. I guess it just got more milk. The third one went down hill fast but I was able to keep it alive and it is doing fine now. I have taken Panda off the antibiotic and she is doing fine. The contaminated milk is gone now and " Emmie" is nurseing and doing great. She is very strong and a real fighter. I am heart broke over the other 2 girls but am blessed to have Emmie. So as a warning for others DO NOT GIVE CEPHELEXIN TO NURSEING MOTHERS. The voice of experience is talking here!!! |
