I saw "HEMOSTATS" and "DOCK TAILS" and tore loose typing! But I did enjoy reading how others do it....you always want to be sure you are doing something right! When you start thinking you know everything about something in particular, you end up getting burned!

Mardelin has lots of posts here, and I really think everyone, especially breeders, could learn something from reading her posts. Lol, she's an RN too! She hasn't been on lately, but her posts so informative.

i can clip all their nails except for Mei Ling...that is a little devil in disguise and who can blame here because she has always been nervous when it came to nail clipping and the many times i have tried to clip it she always pulls or yank right when i am clipping and and i end up making her bleed...the main thing is to stay calm or else they start getting nervous.

I look at the poster's name as well as the topic, and anytime I see her name on something, I go to it! Always very informative!!

When I first joined, she posted a lot and was so knowledgeable about Yorkies. And she had a fun sense of humor!

WOW interesting thread!! I couldnt ever imagine doing that twisting. MY STOMACH TWISTED while reading it. I actually left Pheobes first litter of two with long tails. I ADORE IT! granted they both were just going to family and i knew they would not be show homes. My mother has her little girl and shes just sucha doll with her long tail... i ache to have a long tailed Yorkie. Either way, Yorkies are BEAUTIFUL.. but i truly do wish the standard was accepting to long tails.

Now this has got me wondering.... If a mother were to have a long tail, does that affect her pups as far as AKC registration?? I cant imagine why it would.. if her pups were docked. But im curious now.... hmmmm.

No! She can have a tail 5 feet long and wrapped around an orange juice can so she can carry it....it has NO effect on the babies registration! As long as the dam and sire are both registered AKC, the babies are registerable with AKC!

OK didn't take me 20 years but only 5 LOL. I love reading old posts from years ago. (even to see some of the silly things I have said! :eek:) LOL :p

I love reading the older posts and always look forward to seeing them up again for discussion....so much good information here on YT...In years past there were some good breeders here (still are like Breny and Mardelin) where is YorkieRose? Alas, many, many left YT due to the viciousness of others...

Anyway, such good informative info in these old posts...bump them anytime!

Yes, I loved YorkieRose and Woogieman too. Hope they return someday.
