My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | Dog Food Company Breeder programs Do any of you belong to one? I know that Royal Canin has a breeder program. They supply you with puppy packets to send home with pups. Do any other food companies offer something like this ??? Thanks! |

| Eukanuba does. I belong but to date have never ordered anything. I need to tho. I would love to have some of the sample packs of food to send with my babies instead of having to put it in a baggie. |

| I know Natural Balance, Nutro, Natures Recipe and Purina also have breeder programs. They do provide good info on caring for their new puppy etc, coupons and a zip lock sample bag for you to fill. The folder the info comes in is great for putting all the other documents you have in, such as registration papers, immunization record, written health guarantee etc.

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | I'd like to educate my buyers on feeding good food. Does anyone know if Chicken Soup has one? Thats who I'd like to choose but I may have to go with another. I'd choose Nutro, but do you think I should worry with the recent food recall? |

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | Well I contacted some companies today and will be making my decissions. Being a breeder I want to start my puppies on a great food and educate thier buyers on the importance of keeping them on a good food and I believe I can do that better if I have the company information, with bags of the food and coupons and other goodies to hopefully have the buyer continue the puppy on the food. I normally give my buyers a bag of food but its usually just a large baggy. So I filled out a couple applications and mailed them in. My two top choices right now are Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lovers Soul and Royal Canin. |

I was just having a conversation last night about dog food and the concensus is that the food with least amount of ingredients ultimately has the least "bad" ingredients and the best. Hope this helps your decision process.

| Purina Pro Plan offers an excellent breeder program. Each request for litter includes coupon for free bag of food for the breeder to divide and place in individual pro plan puppy- labeled zip bags. Includes a folder, magazine, health record and coupons for the customer. If you save the "weight circles" on your bags you the breeder can redeem over time for lots of things including food. Most all brands have a breeder program of some sort and as with purina you can use their program for any of purina's brands, but we are extremely happy with pro plan in paticular after many years of trial and error. 1-877-776-2582 |
