Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Thinking about Studding my Male I'm not sure which Forum to put this in so I will start here. I am thinking about studding out my male, who has already fathered 5 litters with no problems at all. I have never done this so how do I go about it? So here are my questions... 1) Do I bring the female to me? 2) What type of contract should I use? 3) As far as the Fee, I have heard a kinds of things here, which way do you think is best? Puppy or Money? and about how much what is an appropriate fee for a proven Male? 4) Do people mostly want AKC ? or do they also look for APRI, CKC, etc? 5) Can I list stud service on YT ? if so under which Forum? I THINK THAT'S IT, IF ANYBODY ELSE CAN THINK OF GOOD QUESTIONS, OR ANSWERS LET ME KNOW !!!!!!!!

| most people do like AKC better. No, you are not allowed to offer stud services here at all. yes, you need a contract and the female needs to come to you. any female that he is bred to needs to have a burcellouis test from the vet first to check for STD's. dogs can catch this sniffing butts. you also need to have your males tested for genetic faults and etc before you offer him to public stud. You also need to be picky about who he is bred too and not breed him to anyone that comes along. money is always better than pick of the litter. Ceeby's stud fee is 300.00 too cheap probably, but people can breed to a champion for not much more than that. |

i offer kirby for 350.00. DEE you are low...i thought i was low. i always bring the bitch to my home for 5 days. to me this is much easier. i think one of the hardest things to do is to say NO to someone who wants their bitch to be bred. they don't u/s why i am saying no and i try to explain to them that their bitch has too many faults for my kirby to complement. of course, they think their bitch is PERFECT. i do not want kirby's name on a pedigree w poor breeding. this is my repetition at stake.
