her noon weight is back to 3.2. So, the two cc's every hour is working. mardlin, She loves the nipple on the syringe. i just docked all my tails except hers by myself. I did the clamp and twist. it was so easy. They whined a little just when I had them away from mommy but there was not one drop of bloood. I am going to do dew claws next but i guess I will get hubby to help with that. i will never cut another tail. it is so messy compared to this method.

I tube fed mine too but to tell you the truth it scares me to death knowing the wrong move could kill them. I figured they will eat off of the syringe so that is what I started doing. Never thought to stick a nipple on it tho.

Get some Nutri-Cal for puppies ASAP and give her about a pea size every four hours. Bless her tiny little heart. Wish I had her to take care of.

i sorry this OT but you dock your own tails!!! WOW i have to ask where did you learn to do that!
good to hear the baby girl is gaining weight.

Well, my hubby and I were cutting them but I had heard about this 'clamp and twist" method. yorkieRose told me how to do it and it was a piece of cakee. i have another thread titled" weight to dock". You might want to read that. i believe the instructions are there.

Don't you just love that method? I had about a drop of blood with each tail. I did the claws and NO blood. Much easier than I thought it would be.
