I was asking if you can identify the father if you only had two factors to the equation? I don't believe anyone is signing stud documents.

Isn't this the place to ask a questions?

The partnership is dissolved as far as I am concerned.

I could identify the dogs who were in this Dam's presence but that is not at issue.

Then why not just ask that question outright and be done with it? Why even bring the whole equation regarding the breeder up?

I'm sorry, but I have seen one dear friend who is a member here subjected to alot of stress and turmoil because of a very similar situation on this board where the "whole story" was not being told. I hate to see that happen a second time. Even worse, I'm sure we'd all hate for the "whole story" to be played out here all because an issue that should have been handled privately was not. I can assure you, the results of the previous situation didn't pan out well for either party.

That's sad about your friend. I do agree that some things are best handled in a manner that is not public. And I'm not pointing fingers or directing this at anyone, just stating my opinion.

If you re-read through my posts I did not flame the other person, did not identify her, or any other personal information. People on this board jumped to their own conclusions and I did not address the guessing.

Have you thought about asking your vet if the DNA testing is possible with just your stud and the pup? I mean, wouldn't your vet know the answer to that? That is who I would ask. Or whoever would be doing the DNA test, ask them?

How on earth could that little background tall tale you told have anything to do with a question regarding how DNA testing works? It was unneccessary and meant to discredit the breeder, nothing more. As far as not flaming.... "who at the time I thought was extremely ethical." implies that this breeder is not ethical which is not the case.
Yes, yt is a good place for actual questions...but not the place to post half- truths, outright lies and innuendo with some other agenda in mind. I suggest again, you retract your false statements and keep your business private.

Does anyone out there know someone who they thought was ethical and discovered they were wrong? Is it the word that upsets you??

Has anyone entered into a contract where the other party did not fulfill their obligations in an acceptable manner for you??

Has anyone ever dealt with a breeder and been disappointed with the outcome or the results?

Or should I take these questions over to the General Discussion forum?

If the word ethical or unethical bothers you, I could have used a lot more disparaging words. I kept my discussion civil.
